If you have at least 5/32" on the most worn part of the tire, you'll probably be okay!

Don't worry about alignments wearing your tires. If you're regularly tracking, you'll find a happy middle where you don't quite have enough camber for the track but too much for a commuter. The result is you wear the outside faster at the track, and the inside faster on the street, resulting in pretty even wear over the life of the tire.

Good pads, fluids, wheels, and tires are a great start. Once you get more experience with the car, you'll have a better idea of what exactly you want.
