Nope, see the picture below, I believe the hole diameter is the same but the mounting holes now have a closer distance to each other. I don't have a >2016 to compare but my borla exhaust holes did not align, requiring me to modify. There is a chance that Borla welded on the wrong flange but i kind of doubt that

EDIT: Confirmed that they DO NOT FIT. A few people have now tried and found that the hole spacing is off on some aftermarket exhausts.

I had the exactly same problem these days.
I got a second-hand HKS legamax premium exhasust and wanted to install on my brz 2017 yellow edition .Finally , I go to the workshop and do as you said , and then succeeded.
Thanks very much for your advice!
By doing this, my flange can install any of 2013-2017 exhaust pipe.
