Navi restarts due to hot clutch?

So I kinda burned the clutch a tiny bit.
no smoke just some stink for 5seconds backing up a really steep hill.
right after i went into neutral and coasted down.
on the way down about 5seconds later my navi shut down and restarted twice with a 5second pause between them (played a bit of my music on my usb)
upon the 2nd time it restarted it asked me to accept the agreement and select country, navi voice and stuff, route settings (the setup upon first turn on)

but my EQ settings were still there and my phone connected to it.

just wondering what could have caused the restart on the navi.

I've had the same thing happen when it's playing MP3's from a certain folder on my USB stick.

You say you were playing music from the USB as well? I'd bet it's that. Try playing the same songs again, if you remember what was playing, and see if it happens again.

yea i doubt the clutch has anything to do with it.
its just that, that was the first time it happened
and it happened right after i smelled clutch for the first time.

Needs to be moved to issues. I agree that it sounds like your Navi crashed due to the file it was attempting to play from your USB.

I also play music from a usb flash drive in my BRZ.

I had an issue with a song that was in mp4 format; it crashed the nav at least once a day. Replaced that song with an mp3 version and the nav has only crashed once or twice in several months.

so i played all the songs on my usb today and it was all good. . .

and yea the usb reader is wonky. it will play songs instantly. but it takes a little bit for all the songs to load in the "search" area. sometimes i dont see anything there.
