Flow forging and SSR S-SF process is just pressure assisted casting instead of Gravity-cast where the melted alloy is poured into a mold and the alloy "settles" in the mold.

Quality of the cast wheel really depends on the alloy. Rota, for example besides all the hate for their "inspired" designs, makes one of the best casting process' in the industry.

I really like the 720 Form GTF-1, but unfortunately they don't clear the Brembos on the Performance Package. I found this out after having CARID send a 17X8 and a 17x9 both with a +35 offset.

Today they got a set of the Konig Ultraforms in at Americas Tire for me to test fit. They easily cleared the Brembos on the Performance Package, and appeared that they would work with a 245/40R17. I really loved the way they fit (being careful to not use the word figment for the English Majors on the Forum). They were tight to the spring which keeps the scrub radius close to that of the factory setup. Unfortunately, they had a 73.1 hub center and would require hubcentric rings. Also, I didn't love the color. While it is a dark grey with small matelic flake, I would prefer any black (gloss, flat, or anything in between).

That being said, I wonder if we could generate enough interest to put together a group buy for the Konig Ultraforms in Black with a 56.1mm hub center? This could satisfy a lot of the Performance Package owners who thought they were getting black wheels, only to have Subaru switch the color to gray at the last minute. I understand that Konig will do a custom run if we put together an order for 60 wheels. Let me know what you think!

+1 on Rota having a great casting process, I love my 17x8 titans and they're the same weight as these! I'm with itchy taco though, can't quite stand the spokes, wish they were five spoke like my Advan RCII's!

Are you on stock suspension? Also, whats the tire size? This is great i have a silver BRZ too and wanted to see how the graphite would look.

Odd number of spokes usualy looks better than even number of spokes to me , though 10 and 12 spokes seem to work well. The worst number though is 2 spokes...

These looks awesome. Flow well with the FRS and similar to the Enkei Fujins (another 7 spoker, but 17x7.5) but are lighter, slightly cheaper, and actually still available. Am thinking about these for track wheels, +40mm offset is about perfect and bronze would look sweet on asphalt.

There is no bronze color for ultraform, only gold and graphite. But bronze is available with hypergrams which is 0.64 lbs lighter (17x8 +40) in a different style. I bought grey hypergrams.

BTW, I agree about the 2 spoke wheels

yeah, haven't switched to coils just yet. I'm on the stock tires until they burn out since they only have 8k on them

It's all come down to ppl's preference. I prefer even numbers, but I do like 5 spoke odd number wheels. Some ppl are vice versa.

Try looking for wheels that are 6x4.5"/114.3mm patterned for fitting an '05+ Nissan Frontier... caliper clearance is the main issue. I've found 2 wheels I really wanted that fit in every dimension except for caliper clearance. 5x100mm is one of the best wheel selections there is, only 4x100mm or 5x4.5"/114.3mm could possibly have greater selection. I can count the # of 6x4.5"/114.3mm wheels that fit my Nissan Frontier that I would consider on one hand with room to spare - which is to say less than 5...

Absolutely sucks because Tacoma's have basically all the choices you could want with their 6x5.5" pattern and less caliper picky fitment....

Cuz Toyota > Nissan

Joke a side, yeah... truck bolt matters sucks. Of course some of BMW's odd bolt patterns are hard to find (so I heard)
