ARC Super Induction Box for Toyota 86

I've been waiting for this, as the ARC Brazing guy has been doing a lot of work with his 86: the release of the Super Induction Box for the Toyota 86.

The price quoted there after tax is ¥57,540 (about $750), though that's Japanese market pricing. I want to get one of these; I have one in my 1st-generation tC, and it's very fun.

$100 intake with a $650 name. Horrible waste of money for those with more dollars than sense. Do you knoestly think the square airbox is somehow more efficient than other more streamlined tubular design? Bling is cool I guess but wasteful as well. I'll take a AEM over ARC anyday.

Yeah...this looks pretty bad. If you put a filter in there that said APC rather than ARC I bed you wouldn't be able to tell the difference. Usually, at the very least, they have pretty high quality looking pieces, but this looks -really- out of place in our engine bay especially considering the other options out there.

I'll buy it. Haters gonna hate..

I have ARC plastered on my Zed. Fantastic craftsmanship. And, no, I don't have more money than brains..

Gotta love when people insult others because they like a particular brand. Can't afford it? Don't like it? No problem, nothing to see here...move along.

Amuse and ARC are premier parts.

Rather rock APC, AEM, DC Sports? Awesome. Buy what you like.

I've owned a couple ARC parts in the past and can give credit where it's due but I would agree this just looks like they developed a box for the sake of selling something because people will buy it...

Yes I saw the dyno plots and the gains are no better than anything else.

I think its not a matter of hate. People who are saying its overpriced etc... are doing so because when they look at intakes, they not only want to see how pretty it looks or how good it sounds, the most important factor is how many HP does it make.

When you look at the Dyno sheet, you feel this is EXTREMELY overprice when talking about HP/$. If you like it go for it, its our car and your money and you should not care at all at what other people think about it.

Love, love, love ARC products. Hate, hate, hate the price.

The intakes have always been like underhood art to me. But I have never liked their exposed filter element. Kinda defeats the purpose to me.

The intercooler I got from them was second to none in quality and I scored it at a bargain basement price.

I'm interested to see the oil cooler and catch tank.

The people that bitch generally have no clue regarding the craftsmanship. Nor have they ever owned said product, generally buy the cheapest parts they can afford, and love eBay intercoolers.

Peace.

Ps. I don't care what others think lol..

Good craftsmanship does not always equal a good design.

Its a gorgeous piece and it looks extremely well made, but there will be plenty of other quality pieces that are better designed and will make more power.
