Q300, Perrin or Greddy Help!!!
Been doing a lot of research regading exhaust, now its time to made up my mind and choose the right setup for me, I want a mature sound with deep tone, enough to hear my frs when you are walking at the street but not too loud that someone might throw a bricks on me. This are my options:
. Nvidia q300 with Nvidia catless frontpipe combo (I love the TI tips) Perrin 2.5 non resonated Perrin 3.0 resonated Greddy Evolution GT . I don't have plan on upgrading my exhaust system except for NVidia catless FP if I choose q300. |

You can only hear it when you give it gas, other than it it's quiet. When I say give it gas I mean a minor tap. I plugged my sound tube or else it gets pretty loud in the cabin. It sounds louder in the car than it is outside. Come to the 626 Arcadia meet since you're in West Covina. You can hear it for yourself.

Better idea: buy the invidia q300 midpipe, perrin muffler, and then use the greddy tips! Then you will have all three in one awesome package!

It really depends on your long term goals. I've seen a lot of threads about people buying multiple exhausts, coilovers, intakes, etc etc. Most of the time, it's because they weren't really thinking about their overall build and just picking out parts that sound good to them. This is usually alright, but sometimes it can lead to issues down the road.
For instance, I'm currently set on the Perrin 2.5" resonated when I get the funds because I definitely plan on getting an aftermarket over pipe, possibly a front pipe and headers as well. Although by itself, it's pretty quiet, only minutely louder than stock, the Perrin 2.5" resonated will avoid any rasp down the line. Plus, I don't plan on ever going forced induction so no need for 3.0" piping. If you're sure you're not planning on any other exhaust tweaks in your build, the Q300 or Perrin 2.5" non-resonated will give you that mature rumble you're looking for with a modest boost in decibels. At that point, it's you're call on which catback is more aesthetically pleasing to you as they're both great models with great reputations on these forums. Just know your long term build if you don't want to end up replacing these exhausts in the future.

i had a perrin unresonated cutback and without my catless front pipe it was RASY as F but however the quality is just perfect (except for the tips not sitting right) i currently have the invida N1 and its quiter than the Perrin but with more bass, AND DONT FALL FOR THE "NO DRONE TRICK" every exhaust will give u drone just a matter of how much...
id go for the resonated 3' perrin ! |

After owning the Perrin 2.5" resonated and Q300, I vote for the Perrin. Sounds way better with a UEL header. I wouldn't do 3" unless you are turbo otherwise you'll get unnecessary drone.

Its a toss up between the Q300 and the perrin 2.5 resonated.
It sounds like Perrin would fit perfectly with you. Nice mature sound thats sounds great with a uel/el header. If you choose Perrin be sure to get the resonated version. Q300 is great as well. Slightly louder than stock and is usually a go to when upgrading to a full exhaust setup. Go on youtube and go from there but imo either of those two will do just fine. Perrin 2.5 is a little too loud with a catless header and if you're also going catless front pipe the Q300 is the way to go. Feel free to check out my build thread near the bottom of my first post with me on the track to hear it.
