I owned an Elise. I test drove the Genesis Coupe. The Elise is tops when it comes to handling and dynamics. A blast to drive! But it's not very livable as a daily driver. The Genesis just sucked IMHO. The numbers and specs might be there but the feel is not. It's not fun to drive. The BRZ/FR-S is the absolute best compromise over the Elise. With just a bit more power (270hp) it would be just perfect.

Dammit, I hate that YouTube is blocked at my work! I could never daily an Elise, but it's mainly because I'm too tall to fit in it. It's not much different from my MR2 in terms of road noise, engine noise, NVH, and other general driveability. My MR2 is pretty hardcore but I've lived with it for years. Can't wait to get a BRZ and introduce some comfort features!

That video should have taken 8-10min at most. However, I did like that they added the lotus into the mix.

having never driven a manual before the FR-S, i felt that the FR-S was a tremendous improvement over the Honda Prelude I practiced on. I though the clutch was easy and short in throw vs the Honda.

I think it's because its getting much more common on newer cars. My Genesis Coupe was similar but the FRS is so much so I'm going to actually adjust it where the GC I just got used to it.

Good review vs the Elise! I don't know why they even bother with the Hyundai.

I pretty much agree with the dude in the red shirt.

A good review, but ironically, they judged the DDness of each car on a very non-DD road.

Take the cars to the grocery store.

Great review, right up to the point where one of them said the FR-S is better than the S2000 and RX-8... and now I I consider their opinions worthless, lol.

Nah, seriously, nice honest comparison. I've watched and liked most of their other videos too

I need to take a road trip to the other coast sometime too.... wow, what a road!

That's an awesome road. I went to high school in Salinas, CA, and I drove that road a bunch of times - in my Mom's VW Cabriolet and in my own MX-3. It's a blast, assuming you don't get stuck behind some goofball who won't hit the gas pedal.
