Performance Package on Automatic Brz

Hi guys
Maybe it is a silly question but what is the reason the limited Automatic can not have the PP? Is there a way to have it originally on the Automatic BRZ. I just like the look of the Brembo and the alloys for the price. Thanks

Haha I know that. But would like to have it for the extra cost just for the look which you can not have after.

Don't forget that the auto also sports the old intake manifold and doesn't have a few of the other engine refresh bits from 2017.

You could potentially save money by researching aftermarket brake kits and wheels.

Alternatively, you could cave in to peer pressure and trade in for a manual.

I'm just having a little fun. The link below has some options. I wouldn't recommend it though, especially if you are just going for aesthetics and you won't be tracking the vehicle. This makes me realize that the Performance Package is a pretty good deal.

“Pretty good deal” is an understatement for the performance package as it includes Brembo brakes, wider wheels and Sachs dampers for a mere $1,100 upcharge. In comparison, the Brembo (front calipers only) and wheel upgrade package for the Miata is nearly $4,000.

I am gonna buy a 2019 which will be a daily. I am completely fine with the AT. No track days. Just like the look of the PP and wish I could have it on the automatic. Since I am gonna use the car 60 % in city I believe the AT will be more comfortable. That’s the reason I asked. Otherwise as a 20 year manual driver I can also think about getting the manual with PP. Thanks

It will be more comfortable, but not fun

If you have the ability to drive a manual, then manual is the way to go with these vehicles. Subaru is practically telling you this by only adding the improvements and performance package option to the manual version.

Absolutely!
Still in the decision period. At least, after testing all 86 trims, I decided to get a BRZ. Today tested a red limited AT. One last test is scheduled for the limited MT with PP. Decision will be made after that. Let’s see. So exited

I'm with you Busybee! I would have loved a AT with PP, but not available and adding all the parts would be stupid expensive.

even the bilstein shocks with RCE springs end up about $1500ish alone, the BB kit just front is like $2000. Its a no brainer to get the Performance pack, even if you never intend to go track it. I'm really hoping they add it as an option on its last year or something.
