They came out with a new version when they got their carb certification. I emailed calibration@edelbrock.com for the latest.

No idea how this might fix my lean condition, given that other people on same or older configurations haven't had my issue - but I'll give it a shot.

Got around to putting the HPFP cover back on. That damn pump is too noisy! Took a little hack 'n mod to clear the new banjo bolt position and to keep the 2 tabs from hitting the intake runners.

I'm interested in knowing if you feel any difference and what the update to the file is. Is it necessary to update to this latest version for CARB compliance or is the original version compliant?

^^ agreed. is the tune supposed to be more efficient? better power delivery? anything like that? i was told when i got mine installed at the time that the tune was much more efficient than the original tune it came out with. hopefully this one is better as well!

I'll let you know when I have it done. Swamped with work this week. Don't think I can get it done until early next week.

This is after the car has been warmed up and is idling in the driveway. I don't want to jinx myself but the new EO tune from Edelbrock looks like it's "fixed" my wacky fuel trims while idling.

I really hope so...I have had the same issue from install with completely stock setup otherwise and would love to see that idle needle calm down.

I asked Mike at Edelbrock about the new EO tune and he replied:
"From a legal stand point, yes we suggest customers have the new E.O. certified calibration installed for CARB purposes.

As for differences, we made some adjustments in the lower RPM’s (~Under 20% throttle) which affect drivability and fuel delivery. This should result in a smoother driving feel as well as increase gas mileage. Hp/Torque numbers remain the same as before."

and I jinxed myself. the check engine light came on after 20 miles.

I tried to read the DTC but got a message stating

OBD Error during reading DTCs: No response to OBD request.

Great.

Try reading it with a standard OBD2 scan tool.

The $300 scanner at Advance Auto Parts wouldn't connect. I was worried. The $35 scanner at Auto Zone (OTC 3109n) grabbed the code though.

P0507 - Idle air control system revolutions per minute higher than expected.
