We missed naming something!

THE ENGINE! For all of us Toyota nerds, this'll be easy, and fun. If you're not a toyota nerd, then here's a brief lesson on Toyota engine codes:

4A-GE
4= 4th iteration of the block
A= The engine block itself (A block, M block, ZZ, etc.)
G= High-flow Twin Cam head
E= Fuel Injected
if GZE, Z= S/C
if GTE T= Turbo
if FSE, F= economy twin cam head, SE = direct injection

Those are really the only ones that matter for this car imo.

Now, I say....

1AE-GSE! =P

or for the new Horizontal head layout designation:
1AE-HGSE

hahaha, they just don't roll off the tongue like the older engine names do.

I vote for these: F20c, F22c, or K20Z4.

BACK IN YOUR CAGE VILE HONDA SCUM!

This a yota engine (figuratively) bud!

Sorry, I pulled an all-nighter and have been studying for finals all day.

Now come up with something useful or start your own thread: How to destroy a honda in 2 seconds.
Answer) Put it next to a Toyota.

BOOSH!

I just started and ended your thread in one shot! Pwnt!

Technically it's a Subaru engine for the most part..
EJ209...or EJ209GE if you must
Probably EJ253GE for the states
Or hopefully something like EJ253GZE...or EJ255GE...or EJ257GE...

Technically no matter who builds the majority of the engine, if its in a Toyota, its getting a Toyota engine code.

None of your recommendations follow the Toyota structure of engine names, fyi.

2nd FYI, you're assuming its an EJ to begin with, while Tada himself has stated its a motor built specifically from scratch for the FT.

I know, I realize that.
When did he say that? I'm pretty sure we were told it was an 2l EJ with Toyota heads.
Edit: On numerous occasions it was stated it is an EJ20..

Sure he wasn't talking about the motor that was in the concept?

Could've sworn I heard him say something about a built from scratch motor.

1BR-GSE

1 - First of it's line
BR - (B like Toyota's last boxer engine....2U-B {yes, I know what the B meant}, and all of Toyota's newest engines have an 'R' suffix... AR, ZR, GR, UR)... SR might not be bad since 'AR' and 'UR' are already taken... Then again Nissan fans would go nuts... rofl
G- high flow, wide angle DOHC
S- Direct injection
E- Fuel injected

p.s. It's gonna be in essence a Subaru boxer with Toyota heads.

Finally someone gets the point!

haha, BR, reminds me of VR...troopers that is!

I like that A, for obvious reasons. If they end up tuning the engine the way they make it sound, its definitely a hark back to the 4A.

1AZ-GSE...the 'tuned' engines as of late from Toyota seem to have a Z in the second slot.

AZ is already taken and being replaced by the AR. Z suffix were for the last gen engines. AZ Has a nice ring to it tho.

Ok, here you go. http://videos.streetfire.net/video/T...009_721530.htm. Check it at 4:15, again at 5:10, and still yet at 5:48. That's how you walk, or dog, a Yota in a Honda. Poor little Supras.
