Be careful installing it, or else you'll have to get an alignment after. #Ispeakfromexperience

Washed the engine bay for the first time in the car's life.
And changed the intake hose with a black one.

Today it's 1 year that I own the 86. 27000 km later, I love and enjoy it like the 1st day.

Good swap. That purple one just didn't seem to fit in -

Yep, one panel a day (two on Saturday).

I drove it up to the Jack-in-the-box at noon to get me a hot, store bought, breakfast sandwich. The gal at the drive thru was impressed.

I did notice it went a bit faster because it was slicker moving through the air, but it was a bit slower coming off the line because of the extra weight of the wax -

Hey you got it done, that's what counts! Good job Roger!

Good to know, Thanks. Anything particular to look for? Actually I planned an alignment soon anyway.

After 5 months or so I finally received my Work Wheels Meister L1 3-piece wheels today!

Excited to see these on the build but I'm not sure when exactly that will be. I'll be done when I'm done... the end result will be worth the wait and the work. My plan is to put some meat on these wheels... I'm not into stance and or stretched tires...my ideal fitment belongs to @lian_nast on IG.

Good looking wheels!

Those rivets remind me of the wheels in the late 40s and early 50s.

We would drill out the rivets, reverse the hubs and rivet them back together.

Nope, I never had mine chromed - too expensive -

Poor folk still do that to get better offsets. You can get chrome powder coat too. It's not quite as good as real chrome but I expect it's cheaper

Don't take the center nut out all the way, just enough to pull on it to release it. That's about it?

I've done a couple things semi-recently. New seat (Sparco Ergo M), new steering wheel (momo mod 88), sourced a trunk with a stock spoiler (and what I think is an STi gurney flap?) and also was able to pick up my custom plate the other day.

Got to thrash the car around a modified streets of willow at the AROSC school last weekend, the ergonomics were perfect. Blows the previous momo drift and vios iii out of the water. I hope I'll be able to get in another day or two before the year is up.

Ditched the staggered setup. 18x9 with 245/35 Evo v12 square now. +30 rear +32 front.

EDIT: I just saw that the Hankook EVO V12's I have now front and rear are slightly different. 280AA A A front and 320AA A A rear. They must be older. They were new with stickers on them and on sale. I wanted to get 225/40 MPS4S all around, but found the 245/35 hankooks for 95$ installed locally.

Ill take some better photos, and update the konig oversteer thread with a few.

Today I changed the engine oil and filter, changed the transmission oil, drained the differential (don't have enough oil to fill it back up ), and replaced my drain plug with a Fumoto drain valve. I used Motul for all fluids and a new OEM Subaru oil filter.

Replacing the engine oil/filter was kind of pointless since the dealer probably changed it when the car was traded in, but there was no mention of any fluids being replaced in any of the documents I received with the car, and if it's not on paper, then it was never done. I'm glad I changed the transmission oil since it definitely seemed like it was original to the car. It was thick/gooey, had a strange silver color to it, and smelled very strong. Draining the differential was also kind of pointless since the oil looked almost brand new as it was draining.
