I've been following this closely too. I've thought of a few different approaches but it doesn't seem worth it when the Seibon CSL trunk is ~$750 shipped and as a bonus is one piece.

At the end of the day, it is probably the cleanest way to go. I just don't like how the carbon fiber clashes with the WRB on mine...

yup trust a lot of us 2017's are in the same boat. The options are pretty much figure out a custom base for a large wing or swap the trunk "I've been eyeing the VIS SS trunk".

But the 2017 design has been out for a year, give this trunk design another year or two for the after market to catch up. Also take a look at the wing set up on the 2018 TS trunk, that is going to open up new factory whole options for the aftermarket to work with such as swan neck wings from the factory holes. It's pretty much a waiting game.

True. ~$1k is more accurate after paint. It looks so clean tho.

Does anyone know if the AIMGAIN spoiler covers the holes left by the 2017 wing? It looks like spoiler comes up a little higher on the trunk than the TRD plus this kit was fit on a 2017 BRZ.

My best guess is going to be no. The holes are more centered, the spoiler seems to taper a little bit towards the end. Again, I could be wrong, but I feel like we would know if it worked.

TRD/Legsport have been the top two for covering holes in the past, my assumption is if those don't work, no other spoiler will.

That would definitely be nice. From the brief research I have done. Only seems like a few wings will cover the holes such as:
Tommy Kaira
Nur Spec
Carbon Fiber E-GTR Wing

Speculation, no true proof. I will most likely getting the Tommy Kaira wing for myself.

This is a good point. Elvis from StanceNation had a 2017 if I recall correctly and he did full Aimgain. Maybe try DMing or emailing StanceNation?

There is a 3D configurator for the GR86, its hard to tell if it covers all 3 holes or not. First 2 for sure but that last one...
