Thanks for the excellent info!
I'm sorry to see the hole is so big, I've been toying with the idea of an antenna delete. (Don't listen to radio anyway)
The new 2015 OEM sharkfin looks allright though, so I'm tempted.

I finally had the antenna installed. The colour match is really good between the new and old WRB.

I just did this DIY yesterday and can confirm that the bolt is in fact 22mm. My socket set only had up to 17mm and I had to go buy a 22mm socket.

So if I drive an FR-S and am considering adding satellite radio, I should get the BRZ version? Does it have the sat antenna in it or is it just the wiring?

Does your frs have the sat radio option? If not then you'll have to spend extra on an adapter or a new headunit that supports it. Contact the fin seller and make sure that it comes with 2 wiring. One for the standard radio ehich is like a 4 port plug and a coax looking cable with all connects to the sharkfin transmitter. Brz/frs fins should all be made by the same company if oem. Just remember to ask for that option when placing an order. Btw sat radio is decent but it's not worth the $10-30 a month. It plays the same 10 song all over again for 1 week on each radio station. You might be better off getting an extra Ipod or tablet device and use bluetooth. If music is your thing then go with tmobile data services which have unlimited spotify and Pandora streaming for sbout $10 a month

Just put this on my '14 WRB BRZ Limited. Everything went very smoothly, though I did not have a 22mm socket either and had to go pick one up. Most socket kits seem to go up to 19mm, but not beyond. The 22mm sockets all seem to be 1/2 in drive, too, so make sure you HAVE a 1/2 in drive ratchet if you just go get a new socket. I did not (had 1/4 and 3/8 in) so I opted for one of Kobalt's kits that had the right socket and the right ratchet.

The head liner is pretty easy to work with. The hardest part of the DIY was re-taping the plug(s) to the small, black support that holds it. I removed the original grey tape to get a better angle on the squeeze release for the plug and then replaced it with black electrical tape once it was all back together. I had to get both hands up in the head liner to do that, and it was awkward.

Radio works just fine (XM and all of the standard bands) and it looks great. Good mod!

can someone please help me to double confirm the part number for the OEM Shark Fin antenna in Galaxy Blue is SU003-05514 ?

I tired contacting my local toyota dealer but they say there's no such part in their system. I also tried asking Japanparts, but they are not sure.

jp-carpart told me that the correct number is SU003-05507. But it's only for their JDM 86. Any idea whats the diff with 05514 and 05507 ?

Did a google search too but some show SU003-05514 is the stock antenna. Im lost...

Sorry didn't see this earlier, hopefully you have it sorted out by now.

The part numbers I listed are for USDM, so it's very possible that the part numbers are different for your country. I can't guarantee that if you order #05514 that it will work on your GT86, since there may be differences in radio design depending on the regon. Your best bet is to ask your local dealer to look it up, they should have it in their system.

these are the right part no. for JDM Toyota (JPN/Asia frequencies 5507), since 2014 MY
http://jp-carparts.com/toyota/partli...pe=15&fig=8604

#5514 is the US/CDN part , means "SCION FR-S" as Scion is only a North American brand and you cannot buy outside US, thus Toyota is.
See post #1 (it's easy, scroll up) to better understand...

If your paint code is E8H Toyota galaxy blue silica you can buy the Subaru one's (worldwide unique part) 86321CA610B5 - Galaxy Blue Pearl E8H.

Can anyone check/tell if EUDM part numbers are same or not as those for JDM?
