Happens to me all the time. Last time they said they reprogrammed the controls, but it still happens. If you even mention the fact that other people online have the same problem they get defensive.

I have this problem as well. First time in at the dealership they told me they "cleaned the switch's contact pins", which naturally did nothing.

Seeing as how this is a common issue with a TSB they should definitely have known better.

My passenger side window stopped working completely today. The light behind the window switches are gone too. The drivers window switch light remains though, as does its functionality.

I'll be taking it in sometime soon to get it looked at, but damn, why did it have to happen with my window wide open, ready to let in the millions of Texas insects that fly around at night...

The light typically shuts off when the window has been locked. Are you sure thats not what has happened in your case?

Tried it, no go. I'm assuming that the problem is with the Window Lock Switch itself, which has locked the Passenger Window and won't unlock it...

I have this issue, very annoying! I often have to fully depress the switch 3-4 times and still does not want to auto.

There is a TSB out for BRZ..can't remember what thread I saw it in, but I took mine to the dealer and they replaced the switch and they now work perfectly.

I reported it as well at a Toyota dealership. After mashing the buttons down for a second at a time in front of me he said he couldn't get it to do it (the door shuts fine if you slam it like this...). Anyone know if the TSB has made its way to Toyota, yet?

I have the same problem. Passenger side only. Works 1 out of every 3 times. No issue on the driver side. I can feel a difference in the buttons. the driver side has a distinct threshold for auto. On the passenger side the threshold is softened and not as crisp. Will make an appointment to get it looked at. I'll let you know what happens.
