Help with slider pins, quick question..
Which one goes on the top of the caliper bracket?
The one with or without the rubber bushing? The reason for the question: When I switched from stock brake pads the pin with the rubber bushing was on the top. I have no reason the believe the pads were ever changed, the car had 2000 miles when I bought it. The service manual says the pin with the rubber bushing needs to be at the button. I've been driving with it at the button for 2000 miles now, and are on my second set of aftermarket pads, currently XP10. I am just servicing them and there is still 13-15 mm pad left. But they taper slightly outwards. Maybe this is normal but I am still wondering about the pin with the bushing. Did they install them wrong at the factory on my car? Or is the service manual wrong?

I believe it's the bottom pin.
