No you haven't. The blends change throughout the year depending on the temperature, regulations, refinery production cycles and supply cycles. The Shell 91 gas you buy this week may not be the same blend you bought last week, even at the same station.

Depends on your definition of "problem." I haven't heard mine in a few weeks, but that may simply be due to the fact that its cold here.

Except in this case, the dealer and mechanic were actually right.

There was nothing mechanically wrong with the car. The model year did not fit the TSB. The guy shouldn't press for getting another HPFP installed because it. will. not. fix. the. chirping.

Yeah, I suppose so.

I actually just looked over my receipt for that recent dealer visit I talked about and they charged me for several parts I never got and services they never did. Wish me luck in getting a refund tomorrow...

So I got the fuel pump replaced on Monday. Before the repair, I was able to hear slight hint of chirping at idle when the engine is hot. This is when the temperature was below 40F. I realized colder temperature quiets down the noise. However after the replacement, the entire noise is gone, not even little sound. I'm happy with it so far, but I'll be waiting for the spring and see if it comes back.

Don't bother, there are those with the "3rd gen" pump that still have the chirps. Trust me, you'll get used to it.

Guess that in my case the crickets are fuel. With or without UCL, crickets riding with me whenever I pump Puma 93.

Good day to all!
