Finally got some video from the AAPEX show up and running. Me HARD at work! I don't hate what I do, lol. If anybody on here runs iRacing, Forza4, F1 2012 or pretty much any other sim, let me know. Would love to hop online and run a few laps with you guys.

Wow that looks so real! Or is it just because you're skilled at driving the simulator The only time I've ever had a chance to try one out was a few years ago at the SF auto show. It wasn't much fun because there was a huge delay and they only let you use it for a few minutes so I wasn't able to get used to that before my turn was up

Our motion solution is extremely realistic. We replicate chassis dynamics and terrain orientation. If someone is trying to tell you they simulate g-forces with a simulator, chances are it's not going to be a great experience or you are about to hop into a $100,000,000 + dollar rig, lol. Zero delay in our control set and motion with relation to the visuals and sound field.
In short. It kicks butt! : ) Thanks for noticing the skills, lol. I've been involved in simulation professionally for right at ten years and racing for thirty eight years. If it looked like I didn't know what I was doing, I'd be in trouble! : ) |

Dumb noob question: who are your customers for this system i.e. do people set it up in their living room or is it more of an arcade thing or...?

Learned to drive in the field on the farm when I was 9 in a 1950 Ford 1 ton. First car owned 57 Chevy (should have kept?) Guy who bought it started to restore.. then totalled it.
Vehicles owned that I liked; 2 Datsun 510's, Merc Cougar; Honda CRX;Honda Accord;Celica;VW original Beetle. Vehicles owned that I tolerated: Chevy Impala;Datsun 710;GMC Jimmy;Honda CRV Vehicles owned that I hated: Volare wagon;Pontiac Phoenix; Hyundai Excel. Currently own a Honda Pilot and FR-S AT. I kind of regret the AT, but my wife wants to drive it and she's not good with a manual. I owe her for not giving me too much aggravation for buying a toy when most guys my age are buying Buicks and Camrys. |

I fall in the middle grade of the survey - 65. My first was a Morris Minor 1000. I learned early about Lucas electrics and how to get a car started again with a rubber hammer.

52-geologist in mining and hydrogeologist working on groundwater issues. Just got my whiteout FR-S, MT 12/22. Snow covered roads here now so I onlu have 60 miles on it so far. Finally I can afford a fun sportscar. I think the frs/brz will be a rare site here in Montana. So far I have found only one other Montanan on this site, and he is 250 miles away. I learned to drive with rear wheel drive cars, my first was a 67 ford galaxy 289, three on the tree. That car was a tank. I also had a Mustang II, 4cylinder, a faux-stang. I have owned several pickups, so I guess that counts as rear wheel drive too. I have been auto crossing a crx for the last 5 years, so this will be a change. My club friends will be glad to know I now have a "right wheel-drive" car.

Model A diff and 3 speed tranny coupled to the motor with a foot operated clutch that was an array of rubber v-belts. Managed not to loose any fingers. Looking back, that contraption was dangerous as all get out. Can't have fun like that anymore. A friend's father had a shop with a lot of tooling and welders. Spent a lot of time there building up jeeps for offroading. M38A1, CJ5 that he put a mopar 340 into. Had a bunch of people that would meet up to wrench, yack, drink beer and listen to the blugrass show on KRAB. The FR-S comes so close to driving the Alfa GTV I find it hard to believe. Just what I have been looking to find for so long. It's a lot like the SV650. Light weight, low initial cost with midrange power spec, but with the right springs it lights up and carves very well. When I got the Honda, one of the first things I did was run it over all the Cascade and Sierra passes between Washington and California. Good times. I've been doing dry van camping for the last 18 years in a Dodge Grand Caravan. Got that because I could secure all my stuff and a spare bicycle or two inside while on trips. The 3.3 V6 still runs great, but some of the vacuum hoses behind the dash are on their last legs. Last long road trip was a grand circle around the Rockys in March a few years ago. 90 to Butte, down through WY, CO, NM, Tucson to meet up with some friends and fly fighter kites. Then back up past the Grand Canyon, LV, Taho and up the coast to WA.
