@Clipdat - I’d be down to go on more drives if they were announced 2-3 days in advance, and I could get an email, calendar invite, or FB event invite instead of checking a thread on a site that I only look at occasionally. Ideas?

Typically when scheduled drives are announced, they will mirror them on the 86drive.com calendar and also the 86drive FB group. That definitely helps spread the word to people who don't check the forum daily.
In this case, on Friday night I simply asked if anyone would be interested in driving Mines on Sunday. I was trying to see if anyone else felt like a drive, and if at least one other person had replied and said yes then I would have proceeded with posting up the start time details, etc. I guess with the colder weather it's not as enjoyable to get up early and go for a drive. Also just as a heads up, sometimes Mines road is frozen in certain sections around this time of year if you're out there before 9am. So, extra caution should be taken.

Skyline aka. Hwy 35 has some issues from the recent storms. A mudslide last week, then a sinkhole this week.

Be careful this time of year. The Santa Cruz mountains get a crazy amount of rain, and it has been storming lately. There will be lots of mud, water and tree debris on the roads.

I'm down to go for a drive tomorrow, but depends where. Would be better on roads that folks have driven on lately due to rain and weather road damage.

I would not drive Palomares at anything but a cautious pace.

Rain makes debris fall onto roads. Knocks stuff off trees. Rolls rocks of nearby slopes. I had a flat a few weeks ago. Hit a rock.

Wait until the weather drys up. If you want to drive like what I'm thinking, you'll end up spinning out in this wet weather.
