Working 12hr days (7A to 7P)...Commute is now in darkness both ways...Started noticing that the Low beams leave a lot to be desired...Read up on LED and HID modifications...what a nightmare...

So...H11 Low beam Bulbs were replaced with the modified H9 bulbs...

It helps with the morning fog & dew. I'll be cursing myself the next few months for blowing off the project again.

I feel you, I am now working four 10's. I get up at 4:30am...

I have 6000k HID's in my high beams. I love them. My commute is 25 miles of rural highway that has more deer, opossums, raccoons, and dogs than it does cars though.

Thinking of adding a couple LED driving lights though...

The heated mirrors are wonderful. I even use them to clear dew in the middle of summer.

I looked into buying the HIR1-9011 High Beam bulbs...there was only one on the rack when I got the H9's...

Four Tens...sweet. I work a two on, two off, three on (Sat-Mon), two off, two on, three off (Sat-Mon) work week. Other than working every other weekend and never having Friday open to do anything (either too tired or have to get up at Five AM on Saturday) I like it.

Monday I dodged three dead deer carcasses...this was on a 20 mile section of 6 lane divided highway...and counted another three-four on the other side of the road going home...had I been in the old Camry or Mazda 6 I commuted in previously...I'd straddle the smaller ones...a bit scared to do that with the FR-S...

I was a bit miffed to learn that the Canadian FRS has them, and the American doesn't. Last car I had with heated mirrors was my 3000GT VR4. Probably the most unacknowledged feature of any car... I miss it, but not enough to start doing any more wiring in my car. So done with wiring. I'll trade with you, I wanted to orange anyway.

Today I picked up my new 3/4 bore slave cylinder from NAPA and installed it. Most say the AutoZone slave cylinder is cheaper, but I used to work at the local NAPA so I get a pretty good discount.

Old vs new slave cylinder. Same brand. Both made in Japan.

Installed with only one drop of brake fluid spilled.

I haven't bled it yet since no one here is willing to step on the clutch pedal for me, but this weekend my friend said he'll do it in exchange for helping him with his WRX again.

Edit: I didn't feel like waiting 3 days for my friend to help me, so I bled the clutch by pumping the pedal few times with a stick, stuck it against the seat to hold the pedal down (I used a bucket lid to protect the seat), cracked the bleeder, and repeat. It feels like I got all of the air out.

I'd still consider the clutch to be pretty light (when compared to the clutch in my 400+ hp Jetta), but it's more inline with how the pedal felt on my Golf and 944. My only complaint is the pedal is kinda floppy near the top (assist spring removed). It's still 100x better than stock and definitely worth the $40.
