I would suggest you give it a few weeks for you to get used to it. It seems that several people buy an exhaust system and after a while get annoyed because it is too loud.

After a while, you may decided that a more mature exhaust note is more to your liking -

I have the Borla full catback with ACE headers and High flow catted front pipe and its plenty loud.
Going with a catless header or catless FP will make it another level louder and you will be happy you chose a quiet catback

You have to ask yourself if you are going for just sound or do you want performance?? If you want performance then a catless header is your ticket which most people opt for a quieter catback.
If you just want sound then any of the cannon style exhausts will do the trick, the stock suitcase style mufflers tend to be quieter.

I have no plans for additional setup which will cost me more..

For me stock is 1/10 Sound, and Invidia N1 9/10 -
I am looking for a 5-6/10 exhaust. My choices are the new Invidia N2, MXP Comp RS, Borla axle 11839 or a custom made exhaust with Valvetronic.
If you plan on adding a header in the future, your current setup will be perfect. The header as others mentioned adds a lot of volume on its own.

The N2 is relatively new and there isn't a lot out there yet to see how it is to live with. It's said to sit between the N1 and Q300.

MXP certainly will give you the noise without a header. I have a Corsa system which sounds fantastic on its own. Sits around a 5-6/10 and has zero drone under normal driving. Header choices are extremely limited on exhausts like the MXP, N1 and Corsa as they are ungodly loud with catless headers.

Yeah that's unfortunate you bought the wrong one. I have the S-Type. It sounds great. It is quiet at idle but really opens up at WOT.

I had it paired with the Rev Works UEL header and it was perfect with no drone at all. I am now turbo with the S-type and it is a little quitter but still sounds great at WOT. I can post a video if anyone is interested.

If I keep this setup, might probably Ill get a header soon. If not I can straight swap it to N1 or Greedy Evo.

Have you tired folding the back seat down? It makes a big difference in volume when folded.

is it lighter than the stock system (axle back)it replaced? If so, then you have that going for you.

The only thing you can really do it order the "S-Type" and install it (have it installed) and then sell the "T-Type" to another FRS/86/BRZ owner in your area (for half of what you paid to encourage the sale).

Not knowing what laws/regulations that exist for car modifications in your area or the restrictions on receiving parts, it is tough to say what the best course of action is.

I guess, double/triple check before hitting "submit/approve" the final time or go in knowing the exact part number.

When life gives you lemons, you sell them and go buy oranges.
