Car will not start // Please help!!!!

Car sputtered on the freeway this morning like not was running out of gas. Going 65-70mph and rpms suddenly dropped to between 1-2k. Stepped on the gas and they came up momentarily but immediately dropped again like it was going to die. Pulled over and shut it off. Tried to turn on again and it cranks but would not start. Battery died after a few tries.

Got home and tried to jump it. Cranks fine but will not start. Charged the battery for a lil bit but same thing, cranks super good but will not start.

Plenty of fuel and I've checked all the fuses. No blown fuses. Car is a 2015 FRS. Any other ideas to check for before I get her towed to the dealer?

I had it towed lol.

Fuel was halfway between 1/4 tank and empty. Put 2 gallons in and now it's at the 1/4 tank mark and starting and running fine. That's the only change I made. Only verified everything else.

Can't be the gauge being slightly off could it? Maybe the float? I'm just throwing ish out right now that would make sense but I'm not totally convinced this is the cause.

Well, now, if your car is running fine ...... now that it has some gas ... ...... and it's not showing any codes ..... I would suggest you take it and fill up the tank and drive it.

If it runs through a tank of gas with no problems, you may be good to go.

About the gas gauge ...... it might be off. I would suggest you never let it get below a 1/4 tank.

Odd thing about the gas gauge. The low gas light should have turned on.
Mine turns on at the halfway mark on the 1/4 line towards empty.

Maybe the floater sensor got messed up? Either way you can cheap out and just don't let it get below 1/4. Or throw money at it to fix it.
