No doubt it can be done. Just not by everybody and they should not be lead to believe all dealer will sell for that.

Wow, nicely done. Mine was only (only, haha, actually very happy with the price) 500 under invoice. Care to share any strategy tips?

My area has lots of dealerships so I'm sure that helps, plus for me a referal really helped. Also calling the subaru corporate 1-800 number for an additional factory rebate for previously owning a subaru got me the extra $200 (could be $500 if your previous subarus had a maintenance plan, mine didn't). Good luck!

I got mine for 1500 under the regular limited invoice, and around 100 off the PP invoice.

But fwiw I bargained hard and used costco membership and AAA membership, plus it was Black Friday so I think the dealership was willing to go even lower for some sales (they basically countered another dealers offer for 1000 off invoice).

In or near New York City, the distributor is not "subaru of america" corp. I learned on other forums that the distributor tacks on about 550-600 over SOA corp pricing. My 1100 below MSRP on a limited with PP. That was considered, and I was happy with it which is all that matters, a very good deal.

Now, considering that I have found that the cost to dealer where I live is a lot more than other places, or something more at least, I am surprised at the good deal.

another thing is that NY has fixed "documentation fee" of $75 dollars. New Jersey charges stupid crap like $300 dollars because they are not regulated/shit shows.

I posted my bill of sale on here. I wish people would not write what they "report" they got their car for, and just uploaded a photo of their receipt. Tcoat noted that there are sooo many factors that make a posting forum person claim a super deal, and some of them are not even provable.

I don't doubt some get great deals if they have enough different incentives and rebates but some of the massive amounts below "invoice" are questionable. I can see $500 to $1500 since they can make that up in quota, sales or factory incentives but there was the one dude that claimed he got $5K under invoice. Really? The dealer took a huge loss just to sell a car that was ordered? Either some people think that sticker price is invoice, salesmen are spinning a yarn about how much the actual invoice price is or are in some other way being misled. How many have seen the actual dealer invoice not some piece of paper that just says "invoice price" written in pink crayon?

For what it's worth while I don't have the final bill yet (rep said we'd deal with financing once we had a VIN so we don't know the complete total yet) I do have an official pricing agreement between me and the dealer with the price we agreed on the day I ordered, and we each have hard copies of everything.

Just talked to the parts department at my dealership and the PP wheels in gunmetal without TPMS will cost $1750 for a set of 4. Whichever one of you got the wheels @brzaapi posted got them at a steal. If they're still available I want next dibs on them!

Anyone else wanting to sell their wheels? I need a spare set for track/autocross

Yeah, I had to buy them at that price.
Now I can turn my stock wheels to my winter set up.

Well that works with any parts though. I bet it would be $120K or more to buy all the parts to build the car separately.

Oh for sure and that's not even including labor (I don't think?).

I just mean for the people who are questioning just getting separate pieces of the PP that they want.

Like if someone jumped on a non-PP lot car two months ago and likes the wheels specifically, they'd be spending approx. 600-700 more separately just for them and not even including the Brembos or Sachs.

Just interesting to think about (at least to me being relatively new to even thinking about car parts and costs).

The PP is an amazing deal. Adding the parts afterward would be ludicrous and could be done for way less with the aftermarket.
