i feel the same way about the dual climate. maybe i didnt do quite enough research, but at this point its a little too late to just go "get the brz"
I ended up liking the spoiler, the side vents, the headlights and the climate control panel a lot, and unfortunately those things alone cost more than the difference in MSRP. |

Guys I updated some information in the "black buttons" thread.
I have gotten some diagrams for the FRS and the Release series FRS. Along with the Diagrams for the climate control, push button start and parts numbers. I will upload diagrams when I get a chance if anyone has any questions or want part numbers for black interior parts that you can get in the states let me know in the other thread and I ll post them up. Dan

Agreed on current FRS owner's sentiment. I thought I had done all of my research yet stupidly ignored what turned out to be important differences. Dual climate control being one of these options that I want. It is indeed too late to sale the car the do indeed enjoy. So, I am going to have to just add these options/parts if it is possible. Looking forward to what the Release Series will allow us to do with our current FRS.

More important than cars. Mrq22, I hope everything begins to improve in your life and you can set these difficult times behind you.

Is this looking like a possibility yet? I know it would be if we have part numbers for the RS. As I have posted in other threads...I am not sure if the car was made like our FR-S' as it may be more like a GT 86 badged as a Scion. If that's the case would we still be able to swap if he we can get the RS parts? Just wonder if our FR-S' are the true Scions and the RS is produced as a GT 86. Hope I am wrong as I stated in other threads :-)

I hate to be a naysayer, but the cars are built by Subaru. Subaru typically builds model specific wiring harnesses for their cars, so unless it's an exception, you would have to swap out the whole wiring harness or have a supplemental wiring harness built by an aftermarket company to add the push start/climate control. This would be true for the BRZ Premium & FR-S
For this thread to gain traction, you should be checking first to see if there is any difference between BRZ Limited & Premium & FR-S wiring harnesses.

Apparently the GT86 I crashed is just sitting at Toyota NZ HQ.
@nzer has some contacts there, perhaps he can see if they would part out the climate control stuff, the framless rear view mirror for you guys :P |
