Accelerated Performance Turbo Kit

Hello all, I recently picked up a 2nd hand turbo kit for a steal. After doing some research, I came to the conclusion that I bought an Accelerated Performance turbo kit.

https://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=9942

This kit is supposedly the 1st turbo kit ever built for the 86 platform. From what I’ve seen, the turbo is installed underneath the car and connects directly to the OEM exhaust manifold.

An old classifieds post, says that the kit originally came with instructions. I was wondering if there were any previous owners of this kit who wouldn’t mind sharing the instructions file?

Like 99% of the cases. No.

It's almost like there's a Forced Induction sub forum for a reason too...

The guy hasn’t posted since 2014, their fb page has been dead since January and I read he disappeared. I didn’t think there would be a number to even call.

I now understand why forums have basically died off.

You asked a reasonable question and received reasonable responses. If you had said you had tried to contact them to no avail in the first post nobody would have given the answer they did.
This forum is far from dead and if there was anybody that could help I am sure they would but you are asking about a 10 year, old long out of production, limited run product where the company disappeared so I doubt anybody is going to be able to help. Try Facebook since I hear they are all wonderful and knowledgeable over there.
You come for help and because you didn’t receive instant gratification your second post is an insult so not sure who the real asshole is here.

I don't give enough of a shit about accelerated performance to do more then google "accelerated performance brz turbo kit", the only things that popped up were two threads, this one and the one you linked. I kicked you a link to the website cause you never know if someone bothered to check there first which happens A LOT with new members so you would have to excuse us if we come across a bit snooty. It sounds like you are SOL on the instructions and likely not going to get any help here with that attitude. Good luck, probably should have researched the kit before you bought it.

Oh no, I appreciate you sending me the link to their website. I tried to thank your post, but idk how. I managed to get in touch with someone. It’s the other guy, who was being snarky for absolutely no reason when it’s clear I literally signed up for the site yesterday. I wasn’t even aware of the forced induction sub.

I'd start with going to the Accelerated thread and cataloging what you got. He has a parts list there and pictures. Verify you have everything from the kit. In the end, it is just a turbo kit and the install should be relatively straightforward. If you get stuck, post a picture and someone may be able to chime in. There are other kits out there mounted in that position and they are all similar so you should be able to compare to kits like the Works kit. You may be able to hit them up and tell them you bought one of their kits used and get instructions from them for reference. That way you can see how things like the scavenge pump is mounted and hoses routed, and reference it to the parts you got. Should give you a good idea to work off of.

If I'm snarky it's because spoon feeding people has gotten REAL irritating after nearly 20 years of it.
Like I also said in the other thread.
Will you get a response from the OEM?
Probably no.
But please do that first or at least tell us you did.

Otherwise it makes you you like a lazy person.

AFAIK Russ and Don are still active and running accelerated performance. They were still open last time I was in Toledo but that was also the same January timeframe.

Sounds like you did get a hold of them anyways though.
