Dash Top Speakers / Rear seat speakers

My Toyota 86 only has the tweeters under those speaker grills on the dash - the larger speakers are not there. Anyone know the part number on those so I can get them?

Also - the rear speakers are shockingly bad. When my front door speakers are muted for the Navigation leaving the music coming out the rear speakers only - the quality is awful - it's like they are only tweeters... anyone know what size they are before I pull the panels out?

In NA spec cars, the rear speakers are 3.5". I'm not sure if it is the same worldwide.

Interesting! Could upgrade the rears and recycle them in to the front if that's the case!

Of course when sound comes from your rears only it sounds like crap. What did you expect?

At least expected it to still have some Mid-range quality!

They are filler speakers - and poorly positioned for providing the front with sound. Pretty normal stuff

thats true - i was going to ask that same question - i was playing with the fader and put it all in the back and it sounded like an old AM radio - I mean, very very bad - i thought too they forgot to put anything in there.

my other question is - since it looks like in the front between the top and the doors -- there seems to be 4 speakers in the dash and 2 speakers in the door --- 6 total -- is that a compoenent setup with 3 speakers each ? if so, then what the heck are the back 2 for ???

id love to see some writeup from scion about how that is suppose to really work or help.... ??

I'm pulling them all out and replacing them. 4 aftermarket 3.5s running on headunit and then the run component 6.5 off a 2channel amp. Also going to add a 10" sub as well.
