Man that Engine bay is so clean! Gotta start saving my pennies for a FBM Stage 1 kit.

Hey guys, got the whole oil cooler mess figured out. LJ @FullBlown has been nothing short of incredible in helping me with the issues ive had since installing the turbo kit. As some of you may know, I installed Gen's old turbo kit. Ever since the install something has felt off. When I left the shop who originally installed my turbo kit, it definitely didn't feel right. The car was hesitating to boost, once it did reach boost it felt like it was lagging and revving up slowly. I got an engine code P0107 and I cleared it thinking the ecu was adjusting.

When I purchased the kit from the previous owner I was told it had an upgraded map sensor with it and to use the @DeliciousTuning tune that the previous owner had dyno tuned for his car. When I got the CEL and I knew the car wasn't acting right I decided to throw on the basemap to see if maybe there was a mix up with the map sensors. The car ran so much better on the basemap, the idle was dipping slightly but it felt much better than the original SD tune, but the car was only boosting to 3 psi. After calling the previous owner and the shop I found out that the map sensor installed was an OEM Honda 1.5 bar map sensor that Bill supplies. After receiving that information I switched back to the SD tune and it ran amazingly...So much better than when I left the shop. I was making target boost and it felt great.

Fast forward to a few days ago...The car threw that code again. Still everything was running well so I cleared it again. I am planning on getting tuned later this week so I thought we would work out the issue.

Fast forward again to today. Car threw the code again. This time with all of the symptoms of when I left the shop. The turbo was hesitating horribly. When I did get into boost it seems to rev slow so I would back off as soon as I felt it struggling. I got home and cleared the code, I had to leave later for work. It had the same issues, but when I drove home from work it was absolutely normal and felt great again. I had a boost/vacuum test done, and they found nothing.

I just installed my FX350 clutch, and tomorrow my 1000cc injectors will be installed by Evasive Motorsports. After that I am ready to tune with some e85 action! But I just want to make sure that this is not a mechanical issue before I get tuned later this week. Also, I am not very familiar with the OEM Honda 1.5 Bar. Does anyone know its limitations? Should I upgrade it anyway if I am going e85?

Sorry in advance for the novel.

Added @mashal to the owner's list, as I finally convinced him FBM was the way to go and he made the call to LJ @FullBlown.

If the only code you are thowing is P0107, then I wouldn't worry about anything being mechanically wrong. Personally I would get an OMNI 3 or 4 bar MAP sensor and make sure that whoever is doing the tuning has the proper MAP sensor scaling in your tune file. If it is truly only a 1.5 bar sensor in there and 1 bar is atmospheric pressure than it will only read up to 7 psi and the scaling might be off still in your ROM.

The honda map sensor that bill uses and supplies is a 11psi one.
