If the BRZ never existed...
If the BRZ never existed... which car would you be buying?
M3? 370z? STI? EVO X? Mustang GT? Genesis? others...? I think it may have been the 370z for me. |

V6 Performance pack Mustang. For ~$24k you get a performance bargain. Nearly as fast around the roadcourse as a normal GT. Just doesn't deliver the awesome feeling the BRZ does.

Would have kept my WRX and waiting until something came along. Probably the 2015 WRX or STI.
370Z and Mustang GT are outside of the price range since I don't see anything in them that justifies the price or makes them attractive for the price - to me. One is a heavy Z car with terrible styling, the other (at the time) was an unrefined V8 bruiser clad in retro design. Cayman S? Used not a good deal IMO simply because Porsche tax and German engineering. New? Out of the price range. Realistically, this was never an option yet it was the only car aside from the BRZ that ticked all the right boxes. M3? Same problem. Genesis? Wanted the V6, didn't hear a single good thing about the trans or suspension AND the V6 had a much smaller aftermarket. Evo? Not interested. 3 series? Nah. Don't pay BMW tax. |

Good story..... if the BRZ never existed
I wanted a sporty car that was quick, good on gas and was easy to get parts/work on. I actually was in the process of purchasing a 2008 Corvette before I ever test drove the BRZ. I've had my heart set on a corvette for the past two years. I had the 2008 corvette on hold at a car dealership back in the first of January 2013. Then on a thursday night I saw a BRZ with 6,000 miles for sale about 200 miles from my work. I called up the broker immediately and drove out on Saturday morning to test drive it. If it was not for the BRZ handling I would be the proud owner of a corvette. Now looking back, I am so thankful to God that I do not own a Corvette. God bless the BRZ

I'd either still have my M3 or I'd have a C6 Corvette.
