Local "tuners" - BEWARE!!

Recently a fellow forum member asked me and @steve99 for some help tuning his own 86.
Fast forward 2 weeks and he is now a tuning specialist with months worth of experience and testing, selling tunes on Facebook.

Now I know it's free country and all but don't try BS fellow 86 owners, it's a tiny community and you will be caught out.

Not cool @Rossi ...not cool.

The PM I got, dated 3 weeks ago. From noob to expert with months of tuning experience in 2 weeks, wow.

I am not as a fact associated with them, I recently met the guy behind Driftworx Tuning at a local car meet and we got talking, I shared his Facebook page to different pages I knew of on Facebook and that is it.

I always wonder about this 86 "community" as in previous posts where I just "pass on" information (Powerflow Exhausts Meet) all that has ever happened is negative replies and left me feeling attacked.
Really? After all of that denial is your best defense?

The page you have deleted after realizing what was coming: EDIT: I see it's back up. LOL. EDIT2...and down again!

Said Facebook page with a handy contact number:

Any questions, "buddy"?

To say I am embarrassed is a understatement

I made a huge mistake and instead of admitting it I tried to protect myself and made things WAY worse and got put in my PLACE properly.

I have learned my lesson the hard way and I feel terrible about it, instead of making friends I made enemies.

I have been apart of this Forum for 3 years now and it is a great place no matter what I said early. Got caught in the moment and yeah things were said that weren't meant.

@Rossi - you know what pisses me off? That idiots like you lean on the hundreds of hours that people like me put into making this stuff available to the broader community as open source. I don't charge for my time, I do this voluntarily - and neither do the guys at Tactrix (or the team at OpenFlash who's maps you probably stole, probably with the LC / FFS patch that I've ported).

It's arseholes like you that give the tuning industry in Joburg, and South Africa in general, a bad name. And a half arsed apology doesn't cut it.
