Ya know what, all these forced induction threads are becoming a fucking joke. You've got the daily clowns that fill every related thread with petty bickering, arguments, useless comments and then the fanboys who swallow in one brand's thread, and spit in the others. A bit like this one. You even get these armchair experts trolling eachother in people's projects threads? C'mon girls, grow up a bit.

Thanks John let me see what i can do, i'll know by the end of the month and looks like you will be busy with the other kits for a couple weeks anyways.

The car in the pic is RHD? Think there will be any issues on a US car?

Sure have, the airflow into the MAF is quite straight in the 86.

In setups that have disrupted airflow before the MAF you generally require an airflow straightener of some sort to have it read correctly, eg:
http://photos.motoiq.com/MotoIQ/Proj...DSC00564-L.jpg
http://www.suremotorsports.com/wp-co...rkit/maf-2.png

Toyota even do the same on setups that have poor flow through the airbox into the MAF but usually implement a plastic mesh before the MAF, eg ZZE123R Corolla's and the Supercharged 2GRFE Aurion.

On the intakes I fabricate, I weld in the straightener fins if the housing doesn't have the appropriate flow beforehand.

What do you do with yours?

No, actually YOU asked what his qualifications were - and I helped you become aware of them. Your qualifications become relevant because you seem to think they are important for others.

Personally I'll listen to people who have demonstrated qualifications or expertise (Tradewind and JP).

So, given you have an opposing view, and have asked the question on qualifications and expertise I wanted to understand if you were coming from a position of knowledge or just being an argumentative ****. Please also note that I haven't bagged or supported ANY of the FI solutions out there, I just answered your personal attack.

The car will need to be mapped. When this is done, then you will make account for the change in the MAP sensor readings. So then it won't matter what the sensor sees as the ECU will now expect a different set of parameters and run accordinly..... thus no issue with the placement of the sensor.

Remember a month ago, when they said they would release numbers on the innovative kit by the end of the week? yeah... that was great.
