Plenty of discussion on that XDA thread if you want to see what the issues/limitations are.

Cool, let me know if you need any help setting it up. You may need to move one of the pins on the plug.. I'm pulling mine out tonight to add external power to the usb jack, I'll confirm pins for you.

I don't want to take this thread off topic, I may start a separate thread.

This unit has a shitty mic. I hear everyone just fine when in car call but everyone says I sound like im in a tunnel and they can barely hear me.
If I used a USB hub and attached a USB mic, would it work?
Anyone have any ideas on how to make it better?

It should work for normal Android apps. No clue if the phone will be able to use it or not.

This has me excited. If it can properly run torque gadgets/widgets then I am sold!!! Plus, the HDMI ports excite me if they can be used for a second display.

Anyone have problem with the dash piece not sitting flush after install? Mine sticks out a tiny bit on the bottom right corner.

Did you make sure you bent or filed down the mounting brackets when you installed the headunit? The mounts should look like this: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showp...&postcount=449

I use tasker to do this. For instance I have it auto-launch Spotify when the radio connects to my phone's wifi. You can also have it do things when it connects to bluetooth.

Tasker continues working for you after standby?
For me it seems that every app is killed during standby, except the standard radio app...

A better standby behaviour should be implemented, like on parrot asteroid smart.

Is there a way to save the last status of an app? Maybe with tasker? So that tasker automatically recreates the last status?

Hm, explaining in german is much easier Maybe someone understands me

hello,

my first post here, although I've been following the forums for some time. I went ahead based on your reviews and ordered the ca-fi, and now trying to figure out how to install it. I do have bookmarks to the posts explaining how to allign the brackets and also to the post on page 75 explaining how the connections should work. I have bought the antenna and the usb port adapters, so I think I'm quite prepared for the installation.

My question though - has anyone done an install on a toyota gt86, european model? To explain exactly what wires need to be cut, what goes exactly where? all the instructions here are rather generic and mainly referring to the frs or the brz.

Appreciate all the different Android head unit information, but this is starting to get confusing not knowing exactly what head unit people are referring to when the thread is titled Ca-Fi Dashlinq4 but people are posting and replying about other units.
