since you mentioned cruising at 75,i guess you would do better if ya cut it back to say 65,or even 60! have you driven these speeds on cruise?..if so,what "true" mileage were you seeing!?

I haven't taken an extended trip yet, and I've never had the cruise control on.

Ha! I managed to average 43 MPG going to NC and back and my normal day to day driving around town keeps me in the 28-30 range easily. All depends on how "spirited" you drive.

It is fair to assume that 60 or 65 would be more efficient and would probably net 37 or so mpg but almost impossible to drive on MA 495 at those speeds without getting run over.

Spent most of the time between 65-70 MPH. Never used cruise control.

Sport mode, no cruise. But doesn't matter which mode at 75.

I am in Manual mode constantly and I average around 26-28mpg with spirited driving, but honestly i've gotten upwards of 30mpg in manual mode with hypermile type driving(only did that to see mpg lol) if I have a lead foot then i get around 23mpg.

Talk about shift quickness and gear holding during braking, this trans(6at) is a dream! Instant shifts even under full power, I dream of the day my Legacy GT with the 5EAT would even come close to a firm, fast shift!! As far as MPG, I don't use cruise but got 37, 70mph, 2200rpm. That number drops quite quickly if I play around, but it's good to know it can get that MPG. One complaint, The stall/flash rpm is 1850rpm, should'a came with a 3000 stall converter or when Sport is selected the stall changes,(Pontiac did this in the late 60's) lock up would cover the highway driving.
