Ugh... my local Chapter is ok (but really not fond of one of our sponsors...) but I've seen some epic stupidity there, too. Davesnow's absolute failure of a brake sticky for example... took about 200 posts for him to finally correct the language he used in it...

I gave up on yelling. The whole "Never argue with idiots" adage really sunk home for me a couple of months back, so now I just immediately ignore-list the idiots lest I ever be tempted to waste my time on them.

Can you do a brake job?

Id totally appreciate that. Im an extremely fast learner, usually I can watch something once and know how to do it. Im completely all for buying my own set of tools and working on my own car. I just like the idea of having a teacher in advising me what i should and shouldnt do thats all. And no... I cant do a brake job, the only thing I can really do is check and change the oil... thats about it

Doing an entire Single Turbo swap on a Supra at age 13 with my brother was certainly a plus in fortifying my car knowledge. I am very lucky to have an Automotive engineer as a sibling. Nothing works like hands on learning!
