rofl, another warning. I'll stop insulting members when they stop being idiots; I can contribute elsewhere if it's going to be like this.

Just remember, the only thing that can't be fixed is stupidity. Trust me, say it enough times and you'll stop trying. Well, you'll try less anyway.

Ugh... my local Chapter is ok (but really not fond of one of our sponsors...) but I've seen some epic stupidity there, too. Davesnow's absolute failure of a brake sticky for example... took about 200 posts for him to finally correct the language he used in it...

I gave up on yelling. The whole "Never argue with idiots" adage really sunk home for me a couple of months back, so now I just immediately ignore-list the idiots lest I ever be tempted to waste my time on them.

Why must the first girl I ask out after my ordeal be secretly married and trying to hide it from me?

If you were a letter in the alphabet which would you be and why?

The FIRST time I did exhaust on my WRX, I'd never done it before. It took 5 hours to pull the uppipe and downpipe; later that week I discovered the UP had a blown flex section and had put the car back up on jacks and pull the entire exhaust AGAIN. Did that without directions...in a gravel parking lot...in 100+ degree heat with disgusting humidity.

It's about whether you want it or not. I wanted to work on my car(s), so I invested in some basic tools (high quality socket set, jacks, jackstands) and got to doing it. You'll never learn if you don't try. It won't be easy and there will be wrench throwing moments, the best you can do is prepare for some unforeseen setbacks (buy extra bolts and chemicals beforehand). Shit, if I was near Dallas I'd show you a thing or two for dinner.

Can you do a brake job?
Id totally appreciate that. Im an extremely fast learner, usually I can watch something once and know how to do it. Im completely all for buying my own set of tools and working on my own car. I just like the idea of having a teacher in advising me what i should and shouldnt do thats all. And no... I cant do a brake job, the only thing I can really do is check and change the oil... thats about it

Doing an entire Single Turbo swap on a Supra at age 13 with my brother was certainly a plus in fortifying my car knowledge. I am very lucky to have an Automotive engineer as a sibling. Nothing works like hands on learning!
