I think Ferrari needs go back to the drawing board, especially after Hamilton pretty much put it in everyone's face with that last lap. Hard compound tires, plus 30 laps on them, oh hey lets go out and set a lap record and show these other guys what I can really do.

Revamp their program, dumping Vettel and yes making a faster car. Mercedes is just making this season boring with their dominance.

Leclerc has shown he is a great driver and he would be scary good if he was in a car as good as the Mercedes. I don't think Bottas is that good of a driver, he has just got a great car and team.
Honestly you could put Norris in Bottas's car and I bet he would win.

You don't think Bottas is that good of a driver? It isn't uncommon for him to beat Hamilton, one of the greatest of all time. That's pretty difficult to just dismiss, regardless of the hardware.

Bottas is winning in that car. He likely would have won Silverstone if it wasn't for that safety car giving Ham the free pit stop.

Hamilton will go down as one of the best of all time, no doubt about it. My point about Bottas is Mercedes is so far ahead of the field in equipment and team management, that you could put many other drivers in his car and be just as good as Bottas.
There is multiple drivers with Bottas skill but just not as good of car as he drives.

Silverstone I really think Hamilton would have taken him if they hadn't backed him off in the early going. The early battle it was all Bottas could do to keep Hamilton behind him, but while they were battling the field was staying close. Once Hamilton backed off they distanced the rest of the field pretty quick.

Back to the original question, yes Ferrari needs a faster car.

In qualifying, Bottas has been very close to or even sometimes beating Lewis, which is impressive considering Hamilton's is definitely top tier in qualy.

However where Bottas fallls down is race pace. For example in Britian, Hamilton not only managed a 1-stop, but put in the fastest lap of the race on 30+ lap old hards (!!!) Bottas on the other hand, needed to stop twice. Even if there was no safety car, Bottas didn't seem to have enough margin and pace to catch and pass Hamilton after the second stop.

I'm sure Ferrari is attempting to make a faster car as I type. Turns out, that's not easy.

I wouldn't describe the season as boring. Just ignore Mercedes and you have a great race most weeks.
