Best mod:

My seat covers! Interior is an amazing place to be in now (also due to my ocean of carbon mixed with alcantara lol) and it goes very well with the red exterior. Crappy cell phone pics don't quite show the true colour.

Here's another pic

Also love all my bushings and inserts. Car reacts to every input immediately, with reduced slop.

Worst mods?

Knockoff leg style spoiler - flew off on the highway

Coilovers - wish I saved up longer for a high quality set

One of my favourite first mods, 225/50 R16 tires for street.

My worst mod was the first thing I purchased. Some low quality light weight pulleys. They chewed through two belts in no time. Don’t cheap out on parts.

Definitely agree. OFT has been awesome. Easy to use and like you said.
It was useful for me to have something to quickly switch out a tune with on the road without needing to bust out a laptop. Since I don't have a flex fuel kit, when I took a road trip last Summer, I was able to switch out from E85 to 91 after it became apparent to me that there were no E85 stations on my route =(

Coilovers are kind of steep as a first mod, Would be good to at least drive it on stock suspension for a bit to see that the car handles pretty well already. Although for people who have been doing this for a while, you kind of already know what to expect with coilovers.

I'm glad I ordered mine with the TRD springs so I've been able to put off getting something else since it's at a good ride height for street, autocross, and aesthetics.

To me, it's the best ride height, because it is functional, yet very sporty looking. I was actually lucky enough to feel the difference between stock and TRD in favourable conditions as well, differences are apparent, although this may have been just my confidence, my brain and my body telling me I can do more.

That turn in though. Stock tires as bad as everyone seems to say they are, do not limit the driver of a novice to intermediate level. The warmer they get, the more they just seem to grip.

My best mods have been the following:
Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires. The ride quality, grip, and noise are way better than even the Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tires it came with. I can only imagine the improvements they would add to a standard FRS/BRZ.

Tein Flex A (Hydraulic Bumpstop) coilovers with EDFC Active Pro and GPS.
These coilovers are incredible, and the active suspension setup is fantastic for daily driving. It'll adjust automatically from a luxurious cushiony ride, to immediately dialed in and responsive exactly when you need it. It's the best of both worlds.

Endless SS-Y brake pads. They have better grip and feel than stock, and won't leave brake dust on your wheels. They are also completely silent.

I'm very impressed with how these mods made it not only a much better handling track and touge car, but also how they upped the daily drivability.
It really brings the car as a whole into competing with cars from a much higher price bracket. Granted, some of these are significant investments, but the level of improvement your car will receive will be well worth it.

Bad mods: HKS drop-in filter I bought at Super Autobacs in Odaiba. Turns out the USDM and JDM airboxes are different, and the filter doesn't fit.
Yokohama Advan A048 tires. Worse grip than PS4S's, super loud, and get greasy when heat cycled.

Worst mod: Perrin unresonated catback. raspy/tinny/drone, exaggerated by me living in a cold area. Possibly was an early, less refined design.

Best mod: Perrin resonated catback. None of the above issues.

Pretty good: OE Mudguards.

Good Mods: better tires, legal tint and clutch spring removal.

Great Mod: Clear bra! Bumper/Hood/Headlights.

Best Mod: Tow hitch. Now that it's a race car, it makes strapping it down in the trailer SUPER easier vs not having it.

Worst mod: None - I spent my 20's attaching garbage to my street cars - so I avoided that on my FRS.

Best mod for me is between tires and catback. Tires edge out as they vastly improved the car.

Everything I've done to the car I've liked. The Mtech clutch assist spring, high temp fluid, pads and camber bolts.
