Nothing really substantial to update other than some sweet new LED garage lights!

They really light the place up!

Debated for too long between getting Quickjacks or a new jack and stands. Ended up with a set of ESCO stands and an Arcan low profile jack that lifts the car higher than Quickjacks up to 21 inches!! Glad I saved the $800 and got this setup. I can set it up quicker and it's very secure on the padded stands.

Was hoping to get some info on how the stock engine finally gave up? Was it during a track day and were you on the 300-ish whp tune? Any particular cause based on a specific parameter (oil temp, press, etc?).

You decided to go with Mazworx for the engine build - how is the new motor holding up? Any oil burning issues? What is the tune like for the built engine and is it being used as a daily or just for autocross/track days?

And, finally, how is the transmission holding up?

Thanks for sharing!

Temps and pressures were nominal and the tune was on point. A connecting rod bent after a pull at 14psi (~400whp) on the street, close to home.

New engine is holding up fine, however I am currently patching small oil leaks from bottom of the timing cover.

The tune is based on the same one I was running before. Car is still street driven occasionally but mostly built for track days.

No issues with the transmission.

If I may ask, do you mean patching in the literal sense, or doing a reseal on the timing cover? I ask because mine has leaked for years and if there's a good patch method I'd love to hear it.

Patching the outside where it's leaking using Permatex Ultra Grey/Black sealant. I'm really trying to avoid a full reseal of the timing cover as it's incredibly laborious and the leak isn't bad enough to warrant it at this point. It's more annoying than it is a risk to the engine. Plenty of stock, unmolested FA20's leak from the cover, and I consider myself lucky to only have a minor leak.

Hmm. Got any pics? If it doesn't leak then I may have to try this out myself. Thanks btw.
