Then lose even more to get them installed? Which sometimes costs more than the part being installed and why I gravitate towards DIY. But I still want these parts. I hope they come pre-installed in a TRD or STI or PROVA edition. They may have a higher sticker price but should cost less than modding a stock car.

Toyota really knows how to gyp you! I've fallen for it several times over.
You do raise a fine point. But sure you pay more but at least you can be sure that they put time and money into developing quality parts. I'd rather buy factory developed parts rather than aftermarket.

Will say the seats might be cool if the stock ones turn out not to offer enough support.
it's just because brembo's look pimp and make your penis bigger - don't worry about it

With that one I disagree.
1 Piston brakes have a big disadvantage when it comes to brake pad wear and stopping power.
If you use your car for buying groceries then I agree.

There are also no good brake pads available for 1 piston brakes.

I don't have any issues finding racing compound pads for my 1-piston brakes.

I use Carbotech XP8 pads.

I must admit 6 pot calipers IMO are a tad over kill for a car of this size.

There is never too much stopping power. It is always nice if you can stop from 100 km/h to 0 km/h in 2 sec.

to be doing that type of thing we will be needing stickier rubber and wider wheels though

Those brakes would seem fitting on a 500 bhp heavy beast. All you need is 4/2 pistons for this car if you think the stocks won't be adequate.

Pretty cool list of parts. Not sure if I would get any of them but TRD did a good job.

To say the truth I'd be more interested in TRD lowerwing springs, wheel spacers and the strutt bar is fine. For exhaust I prefere the STI one, and 6/4 pistons is really too much, 4/2 are just what it needs, especially in a racecar with 17" rims.

Good question.

Or is this alleged "door stabilizer" merely cosmetic?

It's just a chromed latch, I'm thinking. A dress up part.

I'm intrigued about the shock absorbers, though - I had a Miata with Tokico Illuminas that had adjustable damping, and I had FM lowering springs. Car could HANDLE!!!

Ride was pretty tight, but was pretty good on the freeway. Beat you up in town. I'm not sure I'd want something quite that... severe again. 'Specially at my age.
