   Also give them a like on facebook https://www.facebook.com/roguemotorsport?ref=ts&fref=ts  The GT86 is back from Surface Processing Ltd, with all the paint, underseal and sealant removed. We'll get it on the scales soon and find out just how much weight was removed in the process   The results are in! The underseal, sealant and paint on a GT86 weighs in at 11kgs! (Weight before acid dipping was 243kgs, ignore the cross weights).  So we've been sitting on this update for a while, waiting for the engines to arrive from the states - and here they are! The 2GR-FE engine proved to be a little too tall for our needs, so instead we opted for the 5.0 litre V8 from the Lexus ISF. 417bhp in standard trim and very, very complex!   This is the Quaife 69G sequential for our GT86 race car. There's no lever as we'll be using a Geartronics pneumatic paddleshift system. Now that we have both engine and gearbox, design work is underway to draw the bell housing to mate it to the V8. This will be machined from a billet of aluminium.   GT86 Project: This carbon/carbon clutch from AP Racing will sit neatly between the Quaife sequential gearbox and our 5 litre V8 engine!   Work has begun on installing the AP Racing air jack system, lightweight jack tubes are now made for the rear end, tomorrow they'll get welded in to the chassis.  Special delivery today from Japan for our GT86 race car, courtesy of our friends over at PartBox Online. Five complete sets of massive - but incedibly strong and light - Volk Racing Wheels.   It's obvious that the GT86 drivetrain was developed with a significant amount of abuse in mind - I'm sure you've all seen videos of the being drifted. But seeing as we're no longer using the standard 2 litre four banger, we needed to make sure the driveshafts could take the extra duty.  After a significant amount of custom fabrication work, the V8 engine is now hanging in it's correct location
