Tsukuba Circuit BRZ/FRS showdown Sneak Peek
So we got invited to a big BRZ/FRs (FT86 in Japan) showdown at Tsukuba Circuit. One of the major magazines invited the major Japanese (yes, we are considered one) tuning houses with BRZ's or FT86's to bring their cars and have them lapped by the same professional driver. This is a sneak peak of the event and of the results!
And the final results. Translated: 1. Under-somethingsomething - Silvia S15 2. Rusty 3. Marushi 4. Amuse (Power House Amuse) 5. HKS 6. Syms 7. AVO Turboworld 8. Blitz (*edit, looks like the car was a Colt? not a brz/ft86) 9. Revolution 10. Unlimited Works 11. R-Magic 12. Blitz (this was the brz) 13. ****pit Loft Last edited by AVOturboworld; 06-21-2012 at 05:29 PM. |

Only about .8 of a second faster than our NA car, though, so I'm not sure if it's actually putting out any significant power yet.

BTW, the driver from the magazine (Option 2) was Okubo. And because our car is a RA model, we suffered a bit from having no rear LSD, that's one of the things he mentioned right away. That'll be coming in the near future.

Rusty car won the old fashioned way - they gutted the interior of the car entirely, and only had a carbon fiber race seat in there!

Cool post! After the title I was about to say, more like FT86 vs BRZ... details. Do you know if all the invitees showed up/participated?
Wow, whats going on with that HKS car? 5th against the N/A rides and over 1sec from the top... seems like all that metal under the hood is just weighing it down? haha |
