Oh got it. Thanks. It made me confused because the shell vpower made it not squeak and i asked the station, they have 10% ethanol (that shell at least) but it squeaked when i used chevron and 76.

Subaru engineer is dropping by my dealer tomorrow to have a look at my car, that chirps after TSB. We'll see what will come off it.

I've been putting in Shell 93 since I received the car at 800 miles. The chirp is minor but it's definitely there. The fuel might be a factor, but it is not the root cause.

I got mine replaced about 3 weeks ago, and the crickets have come back. Unfortunate...

Try shell gas... worked for me after 3 fills.. I'm in the bay too.. The car only used chevron before the switch..

In the bay area too. 1st service trip to the dealer + cricket fix seems to have the car running extremely well.

I'll hold my breath once the warmer weather returns, tends to bring out those crickets!

It takes several tanks before the chirping goes away? Im on my third tank of Shell 91 now and I still hear it
