Checking in. Just changed out my ptuning EL header for a Tomei UEL. Much rumble, but I can feel a little loss up top. I’ll take it. Gt3076r V1 kit. 10:1 compression.

You tuned by PTuning? If so, their tuner tunes the PTuning EL header a bit differently than other header setups. The rumble must sound nice though for sure.

It was tuned by Precision Tuning before I bought the car.

No, I just bought 3" perrin cat back exhaust, and it bolts on I think. There is Ptuning cat back exhaust which may not be in production now, and I couldn't find a used one. You may be able to find one if you get lucky, and I think it is better suited to the kit.
Modified pipes came with the kit which was 3" turbo --- cat back.

Mac White, who is also in the Midatlantic area has been trying to sell the Ptuning exhaust for about the past 2 months for DIRT cheap. You definitely just weren't looking the right places.

Should I reach out to PTunning directly about fitment questions? I have a '18 BRZ tS and I am not sure if there is any clearance issues with the "v-bars". Also, debating heavily between the Greddy 518z and this kit. Can anybody way in? Cheers!

The PTuning Kit is a hell of a kit, and I would have gone that route on my tS if I wasn’t so dead set on going with the JRSC. It’s defintiely pricier, especially with all the add-on’s that are recommended, but every kit I’ve seen in person talked with the owners can’t say enough positive things about it. PTuning is my local shop I use, and I can’t say enough positive things about my experience also. It also definitely looks the best from a purely visual standpoint.

...maybe one day when I have another giant need to waste, I’ll swap over to the PTuning Kit

If you're a potential customer, yes you should call them. The PTuning V2 kit clears the firewall strut-tower bars (Are these the V bars?) due to redesign of intake to the new the cobra snake looking one. Good luck with your selection, my vote was PTuning 4 years ago and would be again today.

The V-bar (strut tie-bar) on the tS should not be an issue due to the Cobra intake on our revised V2 turbo kit. The only fitment issue we see is the Flexible Draw Stiffener bars that are mounted to the bottom front cross member of the tS. The draw bar on the passenger side of the car will have to be removed in order to run our kit since the bar interferes with our low mounted gt turbo. We don't feel that removing those bars to install the turbo kit will make any noticeable difference in handling but that's your call.

Thanks for the information! I will be in touch with some additional questions sooner than later. The purchase would not be until late spring of '19. I also need to find a local resource for tuning.

Research my friend! You don’t need a built motor for <300whp, generally speaking.
