This event, the 7th in the series for 2017, was another highly anticipated one.
The entrants would have the chance to drive on parts of the old Zwartkops Raceway that are no longer used, as well as on the access roads to the drive-in that used to operate there.
That said, some of the faster Subarus we usually see at these events were missing, one drive swapping his car for a camera, which is a pity because if there was an event best suited to these cars then this is it.
The track laid out wasn't highly technical, it was probably similar in length to the VKC event, but with less turns and higher speeds.
The track also allowed for a few different configurations of runs, so it was almost like three events in one, something no competitor will ever complain about.

By the time we stopped with taking photos in the hot Pretoria sun, the fastest of the day was Wayne Hay in his monster of a Subaru, but that may have have changed over the third round that was still set to happen.
The full results will be out shortly, so take a look and see who beat who. What we do know is that some of the classes only have a few points separating the top drivers, so those in it for the long haul to get points for the end of year prize giving still have a pretty mean battle on their hands.

The next round, Round 8, will be taking place at The Rock Raceway S.A. on the 16th September and it will be a sprint event. Here's hoping we'll see everyone attend with the coolest and fastest cars from past events.
