Gravel in my rear

After some spirited driving on gravel roads, my rear bumper/panels appear to have retained some gravel. I can hear it when I gently bump the bumper.
Anyone come across this?
Do I have to remove panels to remove the gravel?

First off, WHY are you doing spirited driving with an 86 on gravel roads?? - What do you think it is the 1940s??

Which reminds me of back in the day, my old Chevrolet had "gravel pans" on the front and rear (see in the picture - the pan between the bumper and body). So, you would just brush the gravel that snuck through, off of the pan.

In your case, I would try to suck out the gravel with a shop vac.

No doubt.

Ok, on the real, there are a couple boxes behind the rear wheel wells. I think they're referred to as the rear bumper side seals. I've cleaned gravel and shit out of that area after it dried up.

If you back up onto a couple ramps or use jack stands, you can reach up between all the nooks and crannies and find the junk. There are plenty of places for it to collect.

No, you can't get at it with a shop vac.

Dude this car is a freaking HOOT on dirt roads. I actively search for dirt roads that will take me to the same spot as "the regular old stuff". I've left some awesome furrows in the roads when my hitch slams on dips and waterbars I've actually watched rocks fly up in the air

Oh and yeah gravel in the rear is better than sand in the vag***
