You should check out the Stivo spoiler from Wheeldude its pretty much the same as the TRD one but a fraction of the price and no drilling required. I do definitely like it more than the 5AD one as well.

i second @Wes in that the Stivo spoiler is a good alternative to the TRD in terms of price and application. i put a deposit down on one a few weeks back. you can purchase it from @WheelDude.com here: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=29589.

if you would like to by the TRD though, you can get it from @nigel-jdmparts here: http://www.nigel-jdmparts.com/japan-...-trunk-spoiler

Thanks for the link. I like the price point of the alternative, though I'm not completely sold on adhesive only mounted spoiler. Anyone have experience with them? I've seen a couple videos of adhesive spoilers flying off while driving (and yes, I've been known to make a +130mph jaunt every once in a while lol).

Heavy duty struts/dampners

Anyone know a source for HD trunk struts for FRS that will handle the extra weight of a wing or spoiler.

If applied properly, should be no problem. Clean the surface thoroughly and use 3M adhesive promoter. When you put it on, you can melt the 3M tape w/ a heat gun or hair dryer to have a even firmer hold when it cools and hardens.

Plenty of factory/OEM trunk lips are held only by tape from BMW, Acura/Honda, etc. I have the 5 Axis lip and it's been fine but only had it for a couple months so far.

Ordered mine on Japanparts.com, unpainted, for cheaper than any vendor on here. Even with shipping.

My car is WRB; they don't offer a painted option. I opted to get it done by a body shop. Will post results next week.

There are more painted ones, but they are more expensive and Japanparts.com does NOT have the painted ones listed on their website. Like I said, I had to get unpainted anyway.

thanks for the info guys but well the wheel dude one is like 3 bills and i think trd goes for like 499 or something. does anyone have them for less than 499. i want authentic stuff. sounds terrible i know, but 399 vs 4 something is'nt far for the real deal.
