It's UNFAIR for me to spend the time preparing a tune for you to flash into someone elses car while people with cables still don't have tunes.

Everyone will wait their turn.

When I get back to CT and I have the other cables + loaner cable setup then we can figure out who can meet up with who.

Sorry don't think I'm more special, just going off the text when you asked for my dongle number and told me I was next in line.

Also thought I was being helpful volunteering to drive 2 1/2 to meet up and knock a dude off your list.

Sorry if it came across that way. I will continue to wait.

And I do sincerely apologize I get impatient when it comes to waiting on expensive car parts. Don't mean to be a nusense.

I had made arrangements to make you #2 on my list - but your last txt message to me blew that.

Another question for when you have time since light weight pulleys aren't really a big trend on evos, are they something that you can tune for? I wouldn't thing it would benefit timing or anything but curios since I put one on.

You misunderstood him - he is agreeing with you.

There's nothing to tune for those.

Just less rotating mass..

Pulleys werent big on evos because of 2 things, first that power was cheap to get so no need to do the N/A standard type mods. Second there is a large amt of uncertainty about the compatibility of high stress power addes (i.e. forced induction) working well with pulleys. A lot of people believe that they are a contributing factor in massive engine failure due to a lack of harmonic dampening combined with the massive increase in forces on the engine at higher power ranges.

Its very uncommon on high output FI engines to see pulleys for what its worth. And there isnt really anything to tune for them, since they dont affect air fuel ratios. They reduce external weight on the engine rather than directly improving efficiency of the ignition cycle.

Is there any chance for the AT tune/flash to swap shift up/down? (for the stick, not the paddles)

You could probably do this yourself by swapping some wires around.

For those looking to do any data logging, here is how. I was missing the first step of opening the tune ROM first (doh!) which just got frustrating. So.... much of this is quoted from John helping me out and hopefully will save him a little time with questions:

In ProECU, click on FILE -> Open Rom File and open your tune (RR-1xxxx)

With the car running and laptop connected to the car click on map access , once the numbers start moving click on log to file.

When done- click log to file, then map access again.

Datalog will be saved in c:\ecutek\map access logs

It can now be viewed, graphed, emailed, etc
