Post Direct Injector Failure Poll

Ok guys, well as we all know the direct injectors on our cars does are not taking the heat well. My engine died at 4,000 miles and got replaced under warranty. I know of a couple more engine failures out there and many injector problems. I wanted to post this thread to see how many of us are having Direct Injection issues with our cars since some people are getting warranties denied or manufacturers are ignoring the issue. It would also be great to post and describe your issue below.

Here is the document from my dealer when they replaced the engine clearly stating a direct injector as the root of the problem. Makes sense, injector fails piston gets hot and boom you have a hole in there.

If you have not had an issue, please dont vote! I do encourage anybody that has had a DI issue to vote as we are trying to get as much info to have this issue fixed by Toyota and Subaru.

Same stock motor, gone through 2 different DI's now. Probably only a matter of time until engine detonation happens with me as well.

How do I vote for multiple incidents that were handled differently?

Do we need another poll option?

"I don't yet know if I have the DI issue"

If you are experiencing those symptoms then your Injectors are already damaged.

Except my car only does it sometimes. And the dealer couldn't reproduce the problem at the time so they did nothing. I have been babying the car lately on daily drives (raining a lot here lately) and it hasn't really been acting up. Maybe I need to do some "spirited driving" and see if I can get it going again.

This one is new's to me, haven't heard of this issue. I honestly thought all the major issues had been tended to....

Only issue's I've had is the passenger side window squeaked a couple times when it was dirty (normal), and the crickets that the dealer's can't pick up, i think its just normal, its not very loud so it doesn't bother me anymore only does it every so often and when it does there really quiet so i don't hear them unless i turn the radio off. I had the taillight condensation issue in both taillights, but that has been fixed.
