I wonder if this means that the 7.5in wide STI wheel will be cheaper to get now?

PS4S. Can tell by the velvet material around the Michelin logo on the sidewall.

PSS is on its way out.

Exactly. Test cars on the Nurburgring from beginning of 2013:

I haven't heard anything for the newer STI.

They do. Just not avilable for sale in US market yet. Should be within the next few months though. Likely by the time this car is available for purchase.

Yup. I think it will be the basis for the 2020 STI engine as well.

They have sort of hinted at the STi using it. An actual Subaru statement implied that they would be using a "new" engine on the new Impreza global platform for the WRX and Sti.

Not a hope in hell they will use it in the BRZ though.

I also hear that since the BRZ chassis is so impossible to drive in the snow that the new ones will be AWD with training wheels attached. Also they will no longer make snow tires in the proper size because good drivers (namely the ones that can't drive in the snow unlike us poor inexperienced drivers that can) can use the even better AS tires year round. Even for track purposes.

Noticed you have avoided the cross fire this time!

If they made an STI with refinements made to the block to add power and reliability to redline(actually race it) wing that extends at speed(so my wife doesn't think douchebag spoiler) , recaro seats, and refinements in suspension, brakes, and exhaust...

I would happily pay $35k new out the door. I would add the turbo later....
