I'm trying to get in touch with my old parts guy to see if it's in. I wonder if anyone has got it yet and noticed if it fixed the chirp issue?

Even if they put in in already it could be weeks or months before it is safe to say it changed anything. Guys that replaced the pumps on the old revisions all came in happily saying "all fixed" just to be back later with "well damn..."

Yeah, I heard some as early as 200-300 miles of driving. They have the updated parts available, so now just trying to schedule mine and we'll see how it goes.

Why are you replacing a known good pump with one that has zero history so far?

The only time I ever heard them was at idle every now and then. My solution was to ignore them and don't spend time at idle.

I'm at a bit of a loss to understand why this is such a big deal since it is not really a problem. Having heard a number of others crickets, my car seemed no different.

In fairness the guys where it gets really hot and they have crappy fuel can get them way worse than you or I may experience. There are sound clips on here where they are positively deafening. I can't blame them for wanting to get rid of them. Speaking for myself the rare occasions I have had them at all I could only hear them if out of the car or in a drive through.
I had them really bad once and sat in my car in the laneway, with the window open trying to think of what I did different. Couldn't recall anything and shut the car off. Yes, they continued. They were actual crickets.

Yes, I do as well!
Proof you can have a wing without looking like you backed into a 747 and you can go flush without ridiculous amounts of camber. I would drive that in a second if it was a better colour.

I don't like it. Makes the car look cheap. Wheels look ugly. The wing only looks good in certain angels and if it's painted.

I get it though....they are a shop and want people to buy parts so they will just tack on parts for the hell of it.

Yes, couldn't have said it better myself, nice wheels, not overly large nor massive stretch so you know you still have tires (lol) and the sard wing is a nice touch plus being able to remove it when you want with no holes drilled.
