So my problem is solved. The unit that i got is defective. Every time i install the always on mod it blows up a very small red 10 fuse that is located under the steering. I will contact diodynamics for a replacement kit. hopefully it doesnt blow up my fuse again .

Got mine in today, having the same problem as you. Plugged everything in, checked all connections, DRLs still do not work. They come on fine with the headlights turned on however. I put the stock DRL relay back in and the DRLs started working fine without the headlights like they did before I changed anything.

Seems like I got a defective unit. There appears to be a lot of other people with this same problem. Pretty annoyed after spending $60, then waiting two weeks for shipping when their website said it was in stock... First time ordering with DiodeDynamics and I am not impressed at all.

I understand the kit does not affect the stock DRL function... however clearly something is wrong. The headlight plugs included with the kit are plugged in with the stock DRL relay and the DRLs work with the headlights off. I replace the relay with the Always-On relay, without touching the headlight connectors, DRLs don't work without headlights. Switch back to the stock relay again and they immediately start working without the headlights as normal.

We'll be happy to replace it for you, thanks for determining the problem.

Nearly all of those who have reported this issue have found that the DRL was just not turned on. Of course, if you're sure the DRL is on, as you've described, and it's still not working, please contact us, and we'll be happy to help with a replacement.

Maybe already answered but does it come pre-set to a certain light output setting?

Yes, they're preset to about 60% or so. Adjustment is easy with the included screwdriver.

It looks very easy to adjust I just wanted to see if it was preset to a balanced mode from the start. Good to hear! Should be here any day now

I'm not aware of a way to turn them off. What are the correct steps to fix this?

Its a 6MT with the parking brake down. DRLs should be on, no? Both pins are jumped in the top positions. The DRLs only come on when I manually turn on the parking lights. Otherwise they are off. Stock they come on immediately as the car is running. Why do these work differently?

I have the car in a dark garage to test. Headlight switch is in the OFF position. I turn on the car and let the e-brake down, DRLs come on. If I switch out with the relay in the kit, DRLs no longer come on with the e-brake being disengaged. DRLs only work when I set the headlight switch to the parking light position, at which time both the DRL strip and the boomerangs light up. I am only changing the DRL relay. The headlight connectors are connected through the kit's extensions in both cases.

Sounds like you may have a problem with the relay in our kit! If you can see the DRLs working with factory relay, then you unplug and replace it with the new relay (while running), it's definitely a problem with the relay. Please email us to request replacement. Thank you!

Alright. Already sent you guys an email. My ticket number is #ZLI-348-69925.

They work great as advertised other than the DRL issue. I'm now to have the headlights, boomerangs, DRL strips, and fog lights all on with the kit. I never use the fog lights, but yeah.

Not a group buy or anything. You can order and if/when they are in stock, they'll send it out!

Installed mine today. Worked like a charm. Hardest part was routing cables.

I also picked up the HID Fog light kit from @Diode Dynamics , but I'm not sure if I should return it. First of all, it's not the glass one (my mistake, I thought it was), so melting worries me, and also, I realize maybe I should get ones that offer proper projectors so I don't blind oncoming traffic...
