Yup, this is exactly what I was missing in the WRX. AWD is fast but nowhere near as fun as RWD cars I've had previously. And the weight in corners shows as bright as daylight. You can feel the nose of the WRX resenting being pushed when you go to the limit. Lightweight cars always win here. I used to have a 2001 Celica GT (2400 lb) and I absolutely loved it in corners.

Finally, Revving out a small engine is truly a pleasure. This is the exact part that I could never understand about other car users. Why on earth would you by a car you can break all speed limits in second gear? where's the fun in that? I want to rev the bolts off my street car and for that, the under powered 86 (if you can call it under powered) is more suitable.

Ha ha thanks man! I always liked black but think it can washout the accents on some cars. My favorite color on the FR-S now is the new silver, I do like black though. I'll take some pics today while I'm there.

These are things you start appreciating as you get older, at least for me ha ha. I used to love ridiculously overpowered cars. I had a 3000gt that was gutted, it weighed 2750lbs and was pushing 550whp. The car was insane but you couldn't get on it without being on a track or else you were just asking for trouble or to kill yourself. She was a blast on the highway though (late at night with no cars around).

If I ever did go Forced Induction in the FRS/BRZ I'd like to keep in modest and linear. I feel this car would be perfect with the original NSX's power level 252-290.

No more FI for me. The WRX was the first and hopefully the last FI car for me. That car made me understand why Ferrari avoids FI until very recently. I just could never live with the lazy throttle response. The car was fast, but the (at times) lazy throttle response made me feel like I was driving a powerful truck. Rev-matching downshifts was a pleasure from the past in such a car.

For the 86, it's not the amount of performance, it's how it's executed. To me, that's way more important. i want instant response everything, even if there isn't much of it when it comes.

Definitely can appreciate this. It honestly makes the 86 feel quicker at times when driving normally.

All we know is.... He's called The Stig
From what I can tell in the pics it has the following:

TRD Exhaust
TRD CAI Intake
TRD Spoiler
TRD Front Strut bar

I'll have to see if it has any other goodies when I get there ha ha.

Yes, revving and driving a light 200hp RWD is rewarding and fun.
But some of you are deluding yourselves regarding higher powered cars. Super cars are essentially a FRS with a larger engine and stronger chassis.

If given a choice ... Money no option ... Most of you would choose the supercar.

Power in the right chassis is very rewarding.

And how about those of us who've been there done that, and decided they personally saw no point in driving powerful cars on public roads?

I only had a 2005 Porsche Boxster S (by no means all that powerful) and yet I was struggling to justify the ump it had. I could hit 100 MPH in third gear. Most speed limits were set at 55 MPH or lower so whenever I wanted to have any fun in that car, I was at license losing speeds. I don't even want to talk about cars like Corvettes which are real power monsters.

So no thank you, for me, I will enjoy revving the hell out of small cars with tiny HP.
