Okay everyone Ive been waiting to write a review on my new Stance Super Sport Coil overs until after I got done with my autox yesterday... So now that that's done, lets get to this review shall we? First off, Thank you so much @THMotorsports.com for the awesome coil overs! I read a lot on coil overs from the cheapest to the $5000 plus coil overs. Well I cant afford the expensive ones and I had a certain price range I had to stick with. The Megans where appealing at first until I started reading the reviews. I noticed everyone who had them said the liked them but those who didn't have them and had the more expensive ones talked down about them and said that the others never experienced good coil overs... Hmm okay so this scared me away. So I then went to look at the next price range. The BC racing, Stance, Fortune Auto, and one or two other companies had coil overs that I looked at and read review. I then quickly learned that it was the same thing with these coil overs as the Megans. Those that had them loved them and those that had the more expensive stuff talked crap about them. So I noticed a pattern. I did this one more time with the KW V3 that we all know and love. But those where just too far out of budget for now. So anyways I went with what my friends have. Stance. So first off, Thank you THMotorsports.com for the awesome price matching and Veterans discount!

So I waiting very impatiently till the day they finally arrived. I went home after work to pick them up then went straight to my friends shop to install. Installation was a breeze, however I had to take the camber plates off the tops of the front struts and put them on the other side. I don't know why they where on the wrong side but its what ever. So since installation was a breeze how low did I go? Did I have any rubbing issues? How was handling affected?

Well lets start by me telling you my original set up before the coil overs and how the car handled to give you a better idea as to what the coil overs are actually doing for me.

Original Set up:
Eibach Pro-kit 1" lowering springs/stock struts and shocks
225 Toyo Proxie T1S front tires
275 Toyo Proxie T1S rear tires
Lots of under steer very hard to drift with out spinning out and couldn't get the rear out to far before it was "to far" But im not a drifter so maybe it was just me. I doubt this was the springs and instead was just the fact that I have way to big a tire out back.

Before:

Okay so now the good part.

Set up now:
Same wheels and tires but with Stance Super Sport coil overs VIA @THMotorsports.com
I dropped it all the way down for a photo shoot and car show but raised it back up after the shoot for my autox yesterday. We wont talk about the handling slammed because we all know a slammed car does not handle good at all. However the autox yesterday was a blast. It did take me a few sessions to figure out how to drive the new suspension but now I have learned that if I want under steer I can have it, if I want over steer, I can have it, if I want full on drift... yeah, I can have that too! And boy was the drifting so much fun during the fun runs after the autox was over. The last session I ended up drifting the slalom section and didn't hit a cone! lol And like I said Im no drifter but my rear was hanging way out and it was very controllable. I now have more confidence in the car and have a blast. It does ride a little more rough but that's okay with me. If anything I would want it a little more rough or more road feel. All in all im super stoked for these coil overs and I will recommend @THMotorsports.com and the Stance coil overs to anyone and everyone that is looking for coil overs. Here is some eye candy when it was slammed for my photo shoot!

Poor planing (from my part as always, need to learn that after winter comes spring), failed purchases (frustrating), had me looking for a set of Wheels on the other side of the "pond". I looked at a few of the offerings here on the forum, sent a few PM & mails, and THM was the quickest to both answer, and find a solution. I managed to snag the last set of Volk Te37SL's in 18x8.5 ET:35 - pressed graphite - in a flurry of PM's flying all over the place.

Can only say that THM was responsive, quick to reply, and understanding as I had some problems with my Paypal account.

Also, even given the import tax I have to pay (+25% woohoo) I still managed to get them at a fair price, beating out most (if not all) Europen retailers (that never stocks) - and easily beating any Swedish retailer with half the price.

True.. I do not have them on my car yet so the final rating is still not set but so far, I will surly be a returning customer.

Spoiler FRP: Well fitment with the screws was off. I cut them off and after placing double sided tape on the spoiler several times and trying to work it for a better fitment I have to say that the only part that I was NOT happy with was the frp spoiler. I love the TRD spoiler look but this particular one just doesn't do it for me by any means so now I am thinking of removing it completely. I'm not sure if maybe I got a badly molded spoiler or if they're literally inaccurate on fitment? What to do...

After I installed the rear spoiler the passenge side corner would stick up a little and didn't think much of it but after a while it started to lift more and became lose. So I thought maybe I installed it wrong or didn't tape correctly and after removing the old tape and re-taping it the result ended up the same way. I really love my rear spoiler and just would like it to fit properly but it's not working for me. The next and last thing that I'm going to do is look very closely to see if there's any imperfections all along the bottom edges that might not allow it to sit flush.

I know it's very little and looks like if you apply pressure the corner should stay down but once you do the driver side goes up.

I went to pick the spoiler up from the dealership's paint shop (great guys) and they noticed that the corner was still messed up. There were cracks in the gel coat that gave them a few issues. So Hopefully I get it tomorrow.

Finally! A happy ending (no pun intended ), my TE37SL's has landed!!!

The customs office at my Airport called, I did what everyone would do, told my bosses "later fuckers, I got wheels to collect", hijacked a coworker with a roomy subaru forester to help me pick up the packages since I did not know how big the boxes would be.

..to find out that I could have fitted them in my 86 all along, but atleast he also got a break from work

Quickly I called the tyreshop I use to make sure they had a spot ready for me, and an hour or so later I had the wheels, with some Nokian Z G2 rubber on (not my first choise, but hey! baby needed new shoes!)

Now for some pictures taken on a swedish potato!

18x8,5 ET +35, TE37SL's with Ray lugnuts, pressed graphite.

Almost ready to put them on!

Zilla loves them! ( www.zillalife.com )

This is some kind of hard pornography, right?

After I got them bolted on, I went to back into town for some sushi, only fitting I guess =)

Yes... it is quite dirty and in need for a wash, and that will happen tomorrow. I find it dirty in many other aspects aswell

Tomorrow I will also fit all of these so they will be awesomely correct! ( I still think I will get alot of "oooh rotas, nice!" comments =(

Also, I would like to thank ALL guys at THMotorsports for making this happen. Yes, I will have to eat noodles for the next month, but you have to make it happen when you get the chanse right? They went above and beyond to get me these wheels, and I am one happy Swedish bearded fat viking!

Still the same issues. They've been filling, painting, repeat, but the cracks in the gel coat are still showing. I have zero satisfaction with this product so far.

Here is an update on the spoiler I received. The fitment is crap. The gel coat is crap. The materials are crap. The car is in the garage till I remove the spoiler. This has just been a waste of money, $380 to be precise.

That is all.

I wanted to post a quick review on my transaction with Alan @ THMotorsports.

I shopped around a few different Volk dealers but THMotorsports had the best prices. Alan was very quick to reply to PMs and shipped out the wheels within 48 hours. The TE37SLs arrived in perfect shape and I'm a very happy customer. Thanks again Alan.

A quick picture:
